Do not call the LA GOP please

Look people, I have a provisional ballot with my name and address in B.R. right now waiting for it to be counted. Do you think that you are actually HELPING our cause by calling the LA GOP and acting like fricking morons?

There was no crime committed here. ALL of the candidates are undeclared. When you get your ballot, there is a list of delegates names on them, NOT a candidate. So people banded together on a slate they called the Ronald Reagan pro-life slate. So effing what??

If we lose Louisiana, it won't be by much and it won't be anyone's fault but our own for not getting more people out to the caucus.

Are you sure you are on the right forum? [grin]

Sometimes I think this is nothing better than a romper room. The lack of discernment exhibited by many people is actually frightening. They believe ANYTHING they read or hear, no matter how cockamamie, and then they will fly off the handle and start harrassing people like there is no tomorrow. Little better than a mob of brats.

Where are the grownups???

Excuse me, but did YOU talk with campaign HQ about this? I DID.

Yes, I did. In fact, I JUST got off the phone with them. And there is no one there ranting and raving like a lunatic over a simple (but effective) bit of politicking by the anti-ron slate of delegates.

Live and learn, people, live and learn.

Dear grownups-

Your system SUCKS.

Yes, you grownups are correct - no law was broken. Combining their ticket into a superticket was great strategy. But let's be real - it was also low. If we sent people in suits handing out 'legitimate' looking sample ballots for other candidates that had OUR delegates listed we'd be rightly smeared as deceitful. Would that be all that different from listing Rudy delagates on a pro-life 'Reagan' ticket? Why should we defend a political system so ripe for misinformation, disinformation, and shady tactics?

So, grownups - I don't agree with your system, and I don't agree that we should just sit back and accept it when injustice is 'technically' legal/allowed due to the system being flawed in the first place. I don't agree with your repeated calls for all of us to conform by cutting our hair and wearing suits. And I certainly don't agree with us keeping quiet every time the establishment figures out a new way to do an endrun against us.

If we all 'grew up', we wouldn't be here - we'd be buying the lies they sell us. We are up against EVERYTHING the media, the GOP establishment, all other candidates, the military-industrial complex, and the Coalition of Kitchen Sinks can throw at us. So please excuse us if we get pissed off once in awhile. Please excuse us if we want fair elections. Please excuse our Passion.

The grownups will be the ones telling us to settle down, to be quiet, to accept our loss if Dr. Ron Paul does not make it into the White House. The grownups will be telling us we lost fair and square, and that we need to grow up. The grownups will lie to us about how we can just fix things in 4 years.

Respectfully,
The young at heart.

Dear Young at heart,

You do not understand the system you are condemning. All politics is dirty. But there is something equally important to remember: All politics is local.

It simply is NOT the case that there was some character handing out a list of delegates to the befuddled who don't know what they are doing. Most of these people KNOW each other. 99% of the people there KNEW who they were voting for and why.

We were outpoliticked plain and simple. If more people had bothered to come out to the caucuses we would have won without any difficulty. But it didn't happen. And you can blame that on the young. They are the ones who don't bother to go and vote.

Sincerely,
An old person

When did the Revolution die?
When did the GOP gain supremacy here?
I remember a time when the GOP tried to keep Ron Paul out of debates.
Calls were made--Phone lines were swamped E-Mail servers were overwhelmed Offices closed down. We Were HEARD.

Now we are to sit down one be quiet and let our betters make decisions for us.

When did the revolution Die?
May it rest in piece.

BTW I am 50.

You know what, I fucking RESENT this. I actually LIVE in this godforsaken state. I don't bow down before the GOP. I have only been a Republican for two months. Those of us who were made to cast PROVISIONAL ballots at the caucus are spending our day trying to make sure our votes get counted. We aren't doing nothing.

And if you are 50 years old, then you certainly have lived long enough to know that you catch more flies with honey than vinegar and having people from all over the country spewing vinegar at the state GOP while my provisional vote is sitting in a box in Baton Rouge really fucking pisses me off.

The revolution will most certainly die if people can't act like grownups, even the 50year olds among us.

I SQUASH THEM.

"Ranting and Raving"? No.

But the BS you refer to as "politiking" ain't the ONLY kind. There were plenty of people posting here that a recount in NH was a bad idea because it would "make us look like sore losers".

Well time passed, and more info came out, and it turns out we were right to call for one.... if only to get answers to some questions about HOW these "accidents" were allowed to happen in the first place.

This is no different.

The people we're fighting against are wanna-be bullies. The only thing they fear (because they respect nothing) is "in your face" opposition. Time you woke up and recognized the enemy for what it really is.

So, you two that made the claim you talked to HQ, who did you talk to?
