YouTube - JOE ROGAN - DMT CHANGES EVERYTHING 2007

made me remember that a friend had been telling me about DMT a few weeks ago.

I have never tried it and judging from the Joe's description it sounds both awesome and a little creepy lol :)

Anyone have any first hand experiences with this?

Never done any drugs but I do find this fascinating. If I had the opportunity I might try it.

I've done DMT, Rogan gives a pretty good description. Drugs like DMT, LSD, shrooms will throw your whole worldview upside down. It really gave me a sense of brotherhood with all life around me. Plants, animals, other people. Plants are just trying to get a little sun their whole life, humans are always just trying to get a little love. Pretty much the same thing.

Haven't done dmt, but I did have a similar experience on salvia divinorum (sage of the gods)

Some say salvia divinorum is the strongest hallucinogen, some say dmt. They are both from Central/South America and were used by Shamans. I do know that it's easier to trip on dmt than salvia d. cause it took me several tries to have a good salvia trip. Also according to most experiences I've heard about, including the ones on this board, it is also very difficult for others to achieve an out of body experience with salvia d. Only about 10-20% max of people who try to get there actually have a salvia d. trip.

I don't do drugs. And I'd def. be too scared to do something like DMT, cause if you have a bad trip, you will have a very bad trip.

I dream instead, that's how I get my DMT. But I don't remember them very much><

DMT is what your brain creates during sleep.. it is was you are tripping on when you dream.. and it is made my the pineal gland, I believe.

YouTube - Terence McKenna- The strangest things happen on DMT

YouTube - Terence Mckenna's 1st DMT Trip

YouTube - Alex Grey rare interview on DMT Dimethyltryptamine by Roger Essig

I had a fairly bad acid experience, not really a bad trip, but one accompanied with a seizure and after effects that were long lasting and detrimental to my everyday experience for about 2 years or so afterwards. Now that I'm for the most part out of the psychosis it brought, I don't really regret it and I think without it I wouldn't have moved towards a liberty philosophy. I think overall through the hardship it brought it made me a better person, but basically I've sworn off all psychedelics because of it. Before I die though, I'm going to do DMT.

YouTube - Before now

Not really DMT related, but kind of cool mention of brain activity after death in relation to dreaming/DMT(just not mentioned).

how would one find this dmt he speaks of? lol

I have a site in mind that sells plants containing DMT among other entheogens.

Not sure about the rules on the board regarding public linking of this nature, so you can PM me if you'd like to know.

DMT and salvia trips are pretty different, I've done both. Salvia is commonly referred to as a dissociative, where as DMT is a psychedelic, which falls more closely to LSD and mushrooms. In other words, on Salivia, you have visions, on DMT, you have visuals. Erowid.org would explain it better than me.

DMT does have some dissociative effects though, especially at a high dose, but I didn't take it that far. It was an incredible experience, very hard to put into words. The physical feelings, combined with the visual landscape I was seeing, kind of reminded me of some alex grey paintings, like this one.

I hope your trip wasn't like that. That looked like some kind of horror flick.

Mine was more like this.

My first (and only dmt trip thus far) was like that vid.. dark n scary at first, then opened up into a fast tunnel of lights, all colors, colors i've never experienced here.. the most intense brightest colors here pale in comparison.. somethings were said to me by these beings (keepin that to myself :p it did help me in my goal though in my journey to kill my ego).. someone's described them as elves of light.. that would be a good way to say it.. I was not fully prepared mentally going into it my first time, which is why I had a half bad trip.. but the last part gave me a glimpse into the possibilities dmt carries.. it certainly had a profound effect on my life.. I've been preparing for over a year now to visit dmt land again.. soon i will return.. soon. lol..

there is a great book dmt the spirit molecule by dr rick strassman(?, may be off by a few letters, feeding the little one n dont feel like going to look. lol) really gives you an idea of what to expect (good and bad) plus all the science and history behind it..

I had a similar experience with these "beings". It was like I was in a teepee or something similar. Everything had an orange glow to it and the beings were all around me, sort of like shadows. I only interacted with one of them who had a motherly vibe. I could tell she was sad for me and I knew why.

in dr. strassman's studies it was something like 70-80% of his subjects met 'them'..

Never done this, but Terrance Mckenna described the effects of it like this...

"Load the universe into a cannon, aim at your brain, and fire."

Watched Intervention one time where this guy was hooked on DMT lol He was pretty much a genius with a future before he started and was living in his moms basement on a cot, and having gay sex for $$ to buy it lol Other than that, it looks pretty cool. How 'addictive" is it?
