Kudos for the passenger for standing up to the TSA goons and telling them "If you touch my junk I'm going to have you arrested". But boo on the idiots at CNN, especially the stupid woman. You've got to remember the underwear bomber? Yes I remember. I remember that his dad told the U.S. embassy that he thought his son might be a terrorist but the U.S. government didn't find that information credible enough to revoke his Visa. Yeah. As if parents go and tell the government every day that their kids are terrorists. How stupid does the government think we are? How stupid does CNN think we are? I don't watch CNN. Does anyone know this ditz's name and email address so we can write her and tell her how ridiculous she sounds?

I am calling to complain about your ridiculous coverage of the passenger who stood up for his rights and his dignity against TSA tyranny. You attempted to shift blame to the passenger for his having the good sense to tell the screener "If you touch my junk I will have you arrested". Your excuse? "Remember the underwear bomber". Well I remember the underwear bomber. I remember the fact that his father contacted the U.S. Embassy well ahead of time telling them that he thought his son was a terrorist. I remember the U.S. government decided that they didn't have "sufficient information" to revoke his Visa. I remember the phone call his father told our government about that said that would be the last time they would have contact. I remember the internal CIA memos detailing all of this. Since you apparently DON'T remember our governments failings here is your homework.

It is unconscionable that an anchor for the "most trusted name in news" would cite one of the worst intelligence failures in U.S. history in excusing one of the most inexcusable government policies in U.S. government history. Benjamin Franklin was right when he said "Those who would trade essential liberty for security deserve and will have neither". We were collectively asked to give up our liberty for security after the massive government intelligence failures of 9/11. (In that case Saudi hijackers were able to take advantage of the "Visa express" program). But at some point enough is enough. What's next? Body cavity searches? And why not use the other alternatives like the bomb sniffing machine at the CN tower in Canada? It neither shows your privates nor allows some stranger to touch them. There is no reason for this current policy unless the reason is to humiliate and degrade the American people. And it is shameful that a CNN anchor would approve of this.

You want a logical answer or a cynical one? I have no logical answer. The cynical one is that these federal agencies think their gods and believe nobody will attempt to reign them in.

I personally know a woman who asked what was the real reason she had to take her shoes off. This was at LAX and not long after the "shoe bomber" crap. They made her go through a full pat down search including touching her bra just because she asked a freaking question! Oh yeah, and they told her that the "man" over security at LAX at the time as some former general, so it's not surprising that his goons would be power tripping.
