bah my mapped screwed up the bus stop is at

1001 LOYOLA AVE

Just south east of the Amtrack Station. I can take a bus there for half the price of a round trip plane ticket. Like 140 bucks and be there Friday Morning.

Now just need to find hotel for Friday Night, Sat Night, and maybe Sunday Night.
 
if its on loyola, just stay on loyola and take poydras all the way down.
i have a number you can call about help with lodging.

its kind of hard to see it doesn't have a regular marker, its got the little "H" on it with a square. Its the Hilton Riverside, just below the marker "G".
 
The Hilton Riverside is THE place to hold conventions.
When you walk out the doors you will see Harrah's Casino across the street and if you take a short walk to the right, you are on the riverwalk where there will be lots of live local music for the festival going on that weekend.

New Orleans has its own magic about it.

I wonder if some last-minute canvassing among vacationers at the casinos would be fruitful (Ron Paul is certainly popular among online gamblers). We could have people standing by on the forums to purchase tickets from C4L if need be.

what an awesome idea! The polls open on Friday right? So I could say hey, come support a congressman that won't restrict gambling on the internet, and oh, there is this party going on you might enjoy later in the evening. Just come on over and take a vote in favor of online gambling!

Yep, the poll is open on Friday from 10am to 5pm. I'll give my US Skype number to anyone who wants to do casino canvassing and I'll be ready to buy tickets (or get people on the forums to do so if I can't afford to) online.

thanks for the heads up. Can't be any worse than Tampa's, I'll just wear my baby blue "I am a mother f****r" shirt :cool:

Drop off is at 7:35am and pickup is at 6:30pm. I should be fine avoiding the pimps, pushers, and thieves.
