Digg the Debate's Time Allotment to the Candidates!

I bet the people at CNN think that is about right for where Dr. Paul is at in the polls. Sorry, but from their perspective I doubt they think this is unfair treatment.

I think this is the truth. In fact, the time allotment looks almost exactly like the relative proportions of the candidates in some of the national polls.

One of they guys in the place where I watched the debate kept time. I think Giuliani had about 17 minutes, Romney 16, McCain 15, Thompson 13, Huckabee 11, Paul 8, Tancredo 7 and Hunter 4.

What really pissed me off was when every time someone asked a question to either all candidates or no candidate in particular (which was often) the hosts always gave it first to either Romney, Giuliani or McCain. Thompson would get seconds, as did Huckabee.

It looked like they allotted the question to the candidates according to the conventional polls.

Probably precisely their goal to only give a poll proportional amount of time to candidates during the debate. Too bad they don't use internet polls to determine that we'd clean house. The interesting thing is by using the polling system to determine time allotment instead of just giving every candidate equal time they're reinforcing the polls. Polls which often time are based just on name recognition. Where do they recognize names from? No other place than well... the media. If it sounds fishy that's because it is. The media and debates are designed not to rock the boat. To allow lower tier candidates rise from obscurity would be a disaster to business lobbies which invest in the most well known and popular candidates. Business lobbies which also may have vested financial interests in no one else but .... media outlets! Beautiful system we have... real democratic ain't it... I think it allows for a healthy republic ... don't you???

Who is mostly in charge of which candidates go up or down in the polls? That's right, the same people. With their biased coverage, with all the dirty tricks... they're trying really hard to promote these establishment candidates like Giuliani, Romney, Thompson, Huckabee and McCain. Believe me, they don't even have to be in favor of Ron Paul. Just give accurate coverage of him, and you'll see he steadily climbs. If they gave Ron Paul the same treatment as their giving Huckabee... there would be know doubt in my mind, Ron Paul would become the nominee and the president. Quit acting like we don't live within a corrupted system, that somehow CNN antics last night were justifiable. Explainable sure, but justifiable? Never.

yeah, these numbers don't seem right. huckabee only 2 more minutes than Paul? I think the guy just added up how many 90 second or 30 second segments each had and attributed that to them. Which ignores all the overages by the other candidates and the underages by Paul. Someone needs to look at it with a stop watch.

The remaining seconds were clipped on the times.

Why is it when Rudy wants to talk and it's not his turn he just blurts right in and is aloud to talk in a debate? The only reason he 's a so called "top contender" is because that's the way the media whats to portray him. In reality he is not. Just a bunch of smoke and mirrors from big media..

This is the length of time that each candidate spoke in total:

Rudy Giuliani, 16 minutes
Mitt Romney, 14 minutes
John McCain, 11 minutes
Fred Thompson, 10 minutes
Mike Huckabee, 9 minutes
Ron Paul, 7 minutes
Duncan Hunter, 4 minutes
Tom Tancredo, 4 minutes

The worst was when Rudy wanted to rebuttle "WITH A SIDESHOT" bahaha he actually called for the camera angle to boot.
