Digg: McCain admits he “doesn’t really understand economics”

It's on page two at Digg at the moment.

According to Sam Stein:

At a recent meeting with the Wall Street Journal editorial board, Republican presidential candidate John McCain admitted he “doesn’t really understand economics” and then pointed to his adviser and former Senate colleague, Phil Gramm - whom he had brought with him to the meeting - as the expert he turns to on the subject, The Huffington Post has learned.

Oh boy.

PS. Is it not proper to include links like this. I see some people break up the url...

I don't think it'll hurt right now. People break links so that they can't just bitch that RP folks 'spammed' them.

This is popular! Another defeat for the bury brigade! We know how to take them down now!

We need to get some anti-obama articles up there now!

The sheeple think it doesn't matter if the future President understands economics. There are comments on there like "that why the pres hires advisers, and no one understands economic."
Scary world we live in with all the ignorance.

He doesn't understand economics.
He doesn't understand the difference between non-intervention and isolationism.
He believes it would be OK to be in Iraq for 10, 100, 1000, or 10000 years.
He don't believe letting the illegal immigrant population become citizens is amnesty.
He killed a bill in committee that would have released all classified information on our POWs, a bill that passed unanimously in the house.

Once you dig into him, you find out he's quite an awful character.

LOL John McCain was on Andersoncooper (CNN) talking about the economy. He said "If the Fed wants to lower interest rates it would have to print more money and raise inflation". I literally shouted at the TV and said "Hey it's a ROn Paul wannabe!"

He's catchin' on I tell ya!

Did anyone get a video of this? I need it for a video I'm going to put together, if I can round up all the footage.

bump for this guy

McCain calls for interest rate cuts:

Said as President he "would try to keep interest rates low":
(also says he would keep the tax cuts permanent--yes, the ones he voted AGAINST:

I posted this on MySpace.

the bury brigade are mostly democrats, so of course they won't bury this, Ncurse relvleaed himself to be an Obama support (ncurse and goatroper are the most annoying of the RP haters)

It would be perfect to get a vid of him calling for interest rate cuts (post 7) and then saying interest cuts are bad (stealing Ron Paul's talking points on Anderson Cooper) and then this quote where he admits he doesn't know what he's talking about.

The MSM loves McCain:
Roger Cohen: A Center Called McCain
http://www.nytimes.com/2008/01/17/opinion/17cohen.html?_r=1&hp&oref=slogin
"Nobody’s been right all the time on Iraq, but Senator John McCain has been less wrong than most. He knew a bungled war when he saw one and pressed early for increased force levels. He backed the injection last year of some 30,000 troops, a surge that has produced results."

Adrian Wooldridge: Mr. Right

Incorrectly claims ^ McCain voted against the Bush tax cuts "because he thought the goal of small government required Congress to cut spending also." In fact, what he said at the time was:

"I cannot in good conscience support a tax cut in which so many of the benefits go to the most fortunate among us at the expense of middle-class Americans who need tax relief."--John McCain, May 2001

OMG the guy interviewed first in the first video is either a sage or is the Decider. The EXACT trigger he predicted for a 75 base point cut is the exact trigger that did happen for that exact cut.

Ron Paul: The only man who understands economics, and can stand up to BERNANKE, the chairman of the fed!
