No I don't I prefer to build up my immune system naturally. I also don't take antibiotics. Well I would in a life or death situation. I won't take them for minor illnesses. Flu shots and antibiotics are destroying human's natural immunity.

My mother overused antibiotics to the point where she killed off all her normal gut bacteria and was hospitalized.

I never get the flu shot , the Mrs and my Mother both do though and they have not turned into giant chickens or anything....

I meant to say "yes", but somehow my iPhone accidentally selected "no"... these polls need an edit option.

I've never had the flu (I rarely get sick) and have only had two flu shots in my entire life. Last year's flu shot only had a 30-something percent efficacy and I know there's no this year's won't be 100%, but I still think it's worth it. Side effects are very rare and even if I have a strong immune system, I can still be a carrier and put people with a weaker immune system at risk, so I think it's worth it.

You are a good person but if you have never had the flu, you aren't likely to get the flu and put anyone at risk. Truth be told, even if you had the flu, if you tried, you likely wouldn't put a single person at risk anyway...

Every single year due to existing health issues with severe asthma, and it has never given me the flu, nor do I get the flu. I also get the pneumonia shot every five years for the same reason. However, I landed in the ICU for week last year with a case of pneumonia that set in within the course of a day. My last pneumonia shot was three years prior, so I'm not sure if they are effective for as long as believed. It may just be because I am very susceptible to respiratory problems.

I wouldn't get either one if I were a healthy adult.

Exactly. I did this in '85 when I was starting my master's degree in comp sci. On the day of registration they asked for proof of vaccinations. Told them I had none, they told me I could not register until I did. I told them it was agin' my religion and they got a real sour look on their pusses. I had to go to some office and swear out a statement that it was agin' my religion. They tried querying me as to what my religion was. My response was that it was irrelevant and none of their business, which got the sour look even more sour. But in 15 minutes I'd written the statement, signed it, and was exempted. Neener.

Yes, I've had a "bad attitude" a rather long time. :)
lol, love it, osan
