I could have sworn he did once, was that the only time? Well, I'll quit saying it until I double check it. I did like that about Feingold until I thought I saw a prior unanimous consent on it while he was there.

Yeah, it was reauthorized in 2011 as well. Feingold was ousted in January, before that vote.

When it originally passed in the wake of 9/11 it was a 434-1 vote in the house. Ron was the only elected official who kept his head and didn't cave in to all the false appeals to patriotism.

Not quite. It was actually 357 - 66, but he was one of only 3 Republicans to vote against it. The other two were Butch Otter of Idaho and Bob Ney of Ohio.

It was the Senate where only one person voted no, and that was Feingold.

Hm, I'm not sure why Feingold didn't call for a vote, but given all his other hard work against the PATRIOT Act, I will give him the benefit of the doubt. I recall early in Rand's term that there was a voice vote he didn't call for as well.
