Did Ron get screwed again?

my thoughts --

i can't believe some of these people are considered presidential material by some people.

my wife, after hearing Cain miserably 'defend' his views by simply repeating everyone else was wrong, stated 'I absolutely hate that man.' I felt like all someone should have done was to ask Cain what a 'value added tax' was and the crickets would have chirped the end of his candidacy.

Cain -- if people watch, listen, and care, his campaign is over. The man doesn't understand his own plan, let alone the issues at hand. His Guantanamo shuffling was despicable -- any time he's called out on something, even a direct quote, he simply says 'he didn't say that'.

Bachman - wha? To hear her say it, it sounds like she's solved the debt crisis -- invade a new country to 'liberate' them, and then just charge them reparations. We can be in the business of freedom! And yes, you too can have a free country -- no charge up front, and just a nice annual fee for the next 50 years. Warning - side effects may include dead civilians.

Santorum -- why is this dude in the race? He has been a laughingstock for years thanks to Dan Savage. That said, as long as he's not talking about religion, war, and sexuality he's better than expected.

Rick Perry - My wife looked up during one part and said 'is this the guy who can't talk'. I said 'yup'. She said, 'wow, it's worse than they even make fun of him for'. Disaster, end of candidacy if people pay attention.

Mitt Romney -- vanilla ice cream, toast, and a glass of water please. nobody wants him. i wonder why. perhaps because in his absolute perfect 'candidate' image he comes off as phony as he is.

Gingrich - Stop making me like you. However, I agree with other posters he doesn't actually seem to be running for prez. Rather, he seems like a debate judge who criticizes the format, and adds in some eloquent thoughts here and there. Running for VP? I don't know. Odd.

Mitt vs. Rick vs. Cain -- childish, childish, childish. This debate, if watched by enough, could easily destroy all three.

Ron Paul - incredible answers, great energy. That anyone else is still on the stage is still depressing to me, at least in regards to the general population's view of this election.

I think what we're seeing here, with the great number of candidates, and the constant poll shuffling, is a concentrated effort to confuse the populace and dilute Ron Paul. If Ron Paul suddenly 'shot to the top' it would, then, be no different than, say, Perry or Cain. The paranoid part of my head tells me this is an intentional plan by the establishment.
