Did Ron get screwed again?

A half-hour in to the CNN post-debate coverage comes the very first mention of Ron Paul that I've heard. It is a passing mention by Anderson Cooper that he's criticized Hermain Cain's tax plan- and one of his co-anchors immediately shifts the subject to Bachmann.

If a presidential candidate doesn't know that Libya is in Africa, they shouldn't be allowed on the stage.

I have no idea what you guys are talking about - Ron Paul had the least amount of time by far...he was rarely addressed, rarely mentioned for a response, and he and Santorum were completely denied a closing statement because of "time." So pathetic and frustrating.

He did amazingly well. He got more time than usual, but not like Rick Perry/Mitt Romney/Cain time. But in this case it was good because all the otehr candidates made asses of themselves while Ron was able to come off as an adult. Actually, Paul pretty much came out without a scratch. Perry, Bachmann (she acted like she was 5), Romney, and Cain as going to be hurt bad from this debate. Santorum might gain a little, but he would do better if he wasn't so aggressive. Newt is still playing for the VP spot so he isn't getting hurt really.

bullshit. Every CNN "political analyst" saying top 3 are perry, romney, cain

BLACK THIS OUT!

You must've only watched the first half and the last 5 minutes. Paul had a lot of "follow up" responses in the 2nd half of the debate. Santorum was also the first one to answer the last question; Paul was the only one left out.

the time excuse was so lame. I looked at my phone, and it was 9:52. They still had freakin 8 minutes before the gig was supposed to be up. BTO MEDIA!

This is true. The mods and other candidates went out of their way to shout down or ignore Ron. Fucking disgusting. These debates are a farce-2007/08 repeats itself.

The good news is that CNN is getting loads of negative feedback for their crappy debate format on CNN.com.

I make it as Santorum and Bachmann tried too hard to get themselves back in the game are are basically done.

Rick Perry turned into a total nut case...I've never seen such a robust mental breakdown on camera. Herman Cain was completely incapable of discussing any details of his 999 plan, Bachman was so isolated she could have been on some other stage by herself with very little change, and Santorum looks perpetually distraught and saddened by life in general. Romney remains top notch with professionalism, while remaining completely void of specifics or substance of any kind. Newt is succinct, and appears to have no interest in being president. RP is the only one with clear and demonstrable intelligence - but none of the useless political theater charisma that stirs up emotional votes. Sad, for the sake of our personal health, prosperity, and safety, we have to rely on the votes of the majority of the population who lack the intellectual curiosity to make an informed decision. Oh, if only I owned myself, without having to petition the rest of society for permission to do what I know is best for me.

Rick Perry completely killed what was let of his campaign tonight. Bringing up the illegal immigrant hiring by Romney time and again after it was discussed was extremely immature. He's done for. The audience hated him. He will never get double digits in polls again.

Here's hoping Santorum drops soon.

Cain got hit extremely badly over his plan, and he couldn't defend it. Many other people stated the obvious that introducing additional forms of taxation will lead to overall higher taxes when a democratic congress comes back....there's no denying this. Cain was acting nervous, probably wishing he came up with a different plan. He's also done for. The thing that gave him a huge boost was his 999 plan, and now people are finding out it's a bad plan.

Bachmann is also done for. She keeps bringing up "Obama is a one term president", but she really doesn't add anything to the debates. Her numbers keep slightly dropping as time goes on, and she doesn't have anything that will prop them back up.

Romney, despite a record more liberal than the majority of all democrats, is a fantastic debater and fantastic career politician. He's slick with words and "good looking". He's very professional and presidential, and in the end, to voters, that's what matters...not about honesty, integrity, issues, or anything like that. It's simply a game.

I agree that this was probably Ron's best performance this election season. He answered almost every question perfectly, and even got in on the attack a little bit. Even the crowd agreed with him on most of his answers. He was great!

^^^ yup and some people overheard Santorum telling Ron Paul "You didn't get to answer that last question"

yeah at the 8:18 mark in the 8th video posted up above...it appears Santorum says: "You didnt get a chance to answer that" and I think I hear Ron replying: "No, I have the best answer though..."?

I missed the debate, but a VERY PROGRESSIVE liberal friend of mine stated on facebook that Ron Paul was winning the debate and made the most sense. That made me feel pretty good.

Unfortunately, the post debate analysis pretty much completely ignored his existence

I heard that too last night - turned it up on the surround sound you could clearly here it. Blacked out again. But he seriously ruled the performance last night!
