Did Jay Leno just ask Rather about Ron Paul?

I guess we'll be able to watch the episode in a couple days on that "Tonight Show Rewind" thing on the site.

Maybe Leno is the billionaire and Rather is the "actor" and this was an inside joke between the 2!!
VERY POSSIBLE!!
who else would know all the dirty media secrets better than Dan the MAN!!

HERE IS TO HOPING!! LOL

Holy shit, you are right!

Always liked Jay Leno. Seems genuine when you seem him just doing a car show oe what have it.

Dan Rather grew up in my home town in Texas. For him to say Dr. Paul is Texan to the core is the highest compliment one texan can give another.

Anyone else see that?

( I often hear "Ron Paul" on my TV in the background, and I always wonder if I'm just hearing things because of the whole "blackout", but usually my hearing is right and Ron Paul gets these random mentions with guests, like on Carson Daly)

Well, do you hear Ron Paul from any other household appliances? :D

Jay told him to say the first thing that comes to mind when he says a persons name, and then he said in this order George Bush, Bill Clinton, Eli Manning, Fidel Castro, the Dalai Lama, Katie Couric, and then Ron Paul

No way!!

*SIGH*
Not this again!!!

Yep, Rather said "he's a Texan to the core", whatever that means

I can actually answer this. Since Dan Rather himself is a Texan, this is a complement in the highest order. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dan_Rather)

My wife is a Texan and I went to Texas to visit her parents. Mind you I have no intention of ever going back, but that has more to do with the inlaws than anything else. Actually it's all about the inlaws, but hey, anyway Texans retain an extreme pride in their state. That is one thing I noticed right off the bat there. Here in Illinois people tend to maintain a loyalty to their home town, but not so much for Illinois itself. In Texas you can see the pride everywhere you turn.

So Rather calling Paul a Texan to the core is a very awsome complement.

Someone said that something on Carson Daly was said. I'm watching it now on NBC. Nothing about RP but it just started. Tune in if you haven't sold your TV.

No youtube ability.
