I called the Republican National Committee and gave them an ultimatium by telling them we as Ron Paul supporters will not support the GOP leadership until they make it an official platform that Irwin Schiff be pardoned because there is no law requiring Americans to pay income taxes.

While I agree with your sentiment, it is a bit presumptious to call in behalf of others without their agreement - especially to deliver an ultimatum.

I'm sure they got a laugh tho.

To answer your question, no <IMNSHO>

Please don't speak for the rest of us.

And no, you didn't do the smart thing.

Um, whatever you asserted yourself. Though, it's a bit silly to speak for everyone I'm pretty sure most RPs don't like the income tax. Neither does RP.

Again I screwed up, so what do I do to make things right?

try again with something more in tune with today: i.e. cut foreign expenditures. w/Obama in charge, this is a much easier sell today than it was two weeks ago.

NO.

They will probably not reply back. If they do, they'll say, "can't you read?" and write the following:

The Sixteenth Amendment (Amendment XVI)

"The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration."

It doesn't matter what we believe or what was historical. It only matters what is written. That's why this amendment is so insidious. It may be near impossible to repeal since so many politicians love this.

Let's just try to follow the example of Ron Paul. He continually stresses how he can't and won't speak for a collective. Let's take a step back and remember what the underlying principals are.

No. You don't speak for me.
