The driver, who was tasked with transporting the child back to daycare, stopped to get some food.

By the time she got back to her car, she forgot that there was a child in the back seat...

Instead of going to the daycare, she went home, parked her car in the driveway and went inside.

And didn't remember that there was a child in the car until his father called looking for him...

Yeah. That's pretty much the recap. A barely functioning adult tasked with the most precious cargo in the world didn't complete her task. Private companies like Uber and Doordash don't have that problem as the apps constantly remind you that you still have someone in the car or a package to deliver. I've done food delivery and you have to take a picture of the food after you've dropped it off.
