Democrats Say "Ron Paul signs Everywhere."

I liked this one:

Also, they seem to think that the campaign is purchasing all of the signs. I think they can't comprehend something that isn't a monolithic top-down project.

QFE.

I think the sign blitz might help shake the nation out of its apathetic state, especially if RP wins. People might wake up one morning and realize that they're being systematically lied to and transformed into enfranchised sheep by the establishment.

their thread is great, coming from an ex-dem. it almost made me nostalgic for my old days again, thinking that government could be good if it was run by good people. i think our time will come to embrace the dem followers and engage them in a wonderful debate once we win the nomination, and we will bring them over to us in droves. dems are supposed to be open minded, right??? we shall see...

This is a good time to go in and spread the message.

This is something I would say to a leftie:
Finally, I'd like to remind all of you that might not agree with Ron Paul on some of his social ideals that he is the only candidate who would end ALL of our wars and bring home our military. Every day your tax dollars support the killing of innocent men, women, and children with the approval of a democratically led congress. The democratic leadership will not impeach bush or cut funding for the war for fear of losing power. (And beyond that The democratic candidates have admitted that they would leave troops in Iraq for many years after they were elected, not to mention voted to bomb and attack Iran.) Please do more research on how similar both parties are when it comes to war mongering. I suggest reading A POWER NO GOVERNMENT CAN SUPPRESS BY HOWARD ZINN. Ron Paul is truly the only alternative to unending war, imperialism, and the loss of our rights.

If you truly believe in human rights for all how can you support Democrats who only pay lip service to gay marriage, the war, and our liberty just to get your votes? Don't let yourself be used because your ideals about social equality are noble. Look at the bigger picture to understand the damage we are doing to our world and ourselves.

We must end the power of the military industrial complex if we want a better world for all. We must restore the power of the people and destroy the US Patriot Act if we want rights and privacy as individuals.

Ron Paul is alone in pushing these ideas into 2008.

ron paul or bust for me. rather be a crazy paulite than a sheep.

take one paul sign down. put up 20 more.

Some of them are cute, valuing socialist economics over civil liberties and whether we should be a military empire. I'm guessing those are the Hitlery supporters.

One of em mentioned this happening in N.H.

" It is tempting to adjust the placement of a few signs after seeing the Romney people remove the Paul signs - dunno"

Somebody needs to smack Romney's crew upside the head. Stealing our signs, using his church as a massive political network to bus the entire congregation over for the WY caucuses....arg...they be playin' dirty...

thinking that government could be good if it was run by good people.

I used to think the same. Government run by good people is often worse than government run by bad people because the people then give up more of their liberties.

That whole thread makes me smile

...because it shows one of the many reasons why we're going to win, and provides an unintended insight into why the Democrats, specifically, and collectivists in general will ultimately fail.

One of the (many) complaints on that DU thread that was repeated several times was, "Where are all the Dem signs? What are the Dem sign people doing?"

The answer, of course, is that they're sitting on Democratic Underground and Crooks and Liars and all the other Democratic forums and complaining about how all they see is Ron Paul signs. They're so used to the idea of delegating their responsibilities to others that the thought of actually getting out and hand-making some signs of their own doesn't even occur to them.

Of course, this is indicative of their approach to government as well. We small-government libertarians and conservatives are "heartless" because we don't want to use tax dollars to help the poor. The concept of voluntary charity as a legitimate alternative to legalized theft in the name of the general welfare strikes them as unworkable. It's just easier to let the government do all the "charity" work for them.

So this is why we're going to win. We'll continue to put up signs, do voluntary direct-mail, door-to-door canvassing, and money bombs, just like we'll continue to donate to the charities of our choice, while the Democrats, socialists, and other collectivist has-beens will continue to sit in front of their computers or in their coffee shops and complain that their Dem-controlled Congress hasn't ended the war, that their Presidential candidates all suck and sound alike, and that no one from the DNC is doing the grunt work of campaigning for them. And when President Paul takes office, they'll roll their eyes, throw up their hands, and declare that the country is truly lost, even as their taxes drop, the dollar picks back up, the troops begin coming home, and, slowly but surely, their quality of life begins to improve.

Some will see the light. But only some. For the people who've invested too much emotion and too much time into a failed party, they'll never admit what we already know. We'll just have to take satisfaction at having saved their country, whether they like it or not.
