Democratic Socialists Openly Calling For Communism

The Democratic Socialists of America recently got a major boost when one of their endorsed candidates, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, beat out incumbent Democrat Rep. Joe Crowley in a primary last Tuesday for New York’s 14th Congressional District.
This far-left political organization previously made headlines when leadership from their Iowa State campus chapter encouraged people to shoot president Trump and when leadership from their University of Georgia Chapter called for the execution of house GOP members. Now multiple DSA leaders are publicly endorsing communism, an ideology responsible or the oppression, incarceration, and murder of tens of millions of people.
Here is the original tweet from Olivia Katbi Smith, who is the co-Chair of the Portland DSA chapter:
As a DSA chapter co-chair I just wanna set the record straight for a minute: communism is good

Shortly after, other DSA leaders weighed in with their endorsement of communism.
The Charlottesville DSA co-chair:
as a dsa chapter co-chair, i would like to cosign this pro-communist statement. https://t.co/xFTDXJQJH6

The Hudson County DSA co-chair:
As a DSA branch co-chair, I would like to sign onto this with a small amendment: Communism is very good. https://t.co/We1AUMZYTZ

The Seattle DSA co-chair:
As a DSA chapter co-chair as well, I extremely second this. https://t.co/cO1elllluD

An Officer for the Queens DSA chapter:
As a previous branch co-chair, and a current elected rep of @QueensDSA's electoral working group, I second this statement#CommunismIsGoodActually#MultitendancyLeft https://t.co/ybj7rAzvBl

Since her win, legacy media has rolled out the red carpet for Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and for “democratic socialism”. She has done interview after interview and appears to be starting her “late night comedy” circuit but for some reason, her affiliation with an organization whose members have openly called for the murder of their political opposition and who are now endorsing a violent authoritarian ideology has not been brought into question. Why is that? Consider the alternative: a Republican winning a primary and being endorsed by an organization whose members advocated for the murder of Democrats and whose leadership said “Nazism is good.” How differently would that play out?

This woman's district is nearly 50% Hispanic, and Mexico just elected a communist. Yet, there are still libertarians who are in favor of open borders. Really gets the old noggin joggin. Also, Ben Garrison keeps showing why he's the best cartoonist in the game.

The election of Ocazio-Cortez is a good thing for the following reasons:

1. She supplanted a plutocratic incumbent. Too bad conservatives couldn't do the same for the likes of John McCain. Take notes, people.
2. There's a lot of lefties on social media talking about how her election is proof that the Dems don't need to attempt to regain the white working class. The more they alienate that demographic, the more rightward it will shift.
3. Ocasio-Cortez is well outside the mainstream of even the left of the Democrat party. The more the party shifts left, the more they alienate everyone who doesn't always agree with them.

These people are so crazy now, Bernie Sanders is too right-wing for them.

The Democratic Party is finished as a going concern at this point.

If you want an alternative to a one-party Republican state, start building a new party now. And don't waste your time trying to fix the unfixable LP.

So, I often hear these idiots talk about the Nordic model when they envision "democratic socialism". What they don't get is that the only way countries like Denmark can have their brand of "socialism" is because of their adherence to the free market in other sectors.

They have incredibly favorable free trade policies and very little protectionism. They have very few government regulations on business and a competitively low corporate tax rate. Their minimum wage is zero. They have a large union presence, but it is entirely voluntary. In other words, they allow the free market to generate their wealth and then use it to fund their socialist sectors in education and health care.

Oh, and their defense and medical innovation is subsidized by other countries.

I wonder if there's an opportunity in there to educate those Bernie followers. They claim the Nordic model, but they don't really advocate for it. They say, "democratic socialism" because it sounds better, but they really mean "socialism that seems to work".

The field has been ripe for a new party for a looooooong time now. I don't know why the Freedom Caucus, and a handful of Senators hasn't broken off in to a third party. Can you imagine if they did?? If they denied either side a majority, they would wield immense power to broker for principles of limited government... but alas... this experiment of self 'government' has failed so miserably, I wish to hasten its demise. I am glad things are breaking down.... only positive change, in the long term, can result.

Whoa . . . another heck of a cartoon from Ben Garrison - LOL

On Meet the Press, Democratic House nominee Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez tells Chuck Todd that her brand of politics emphasizes access to
housing, healthcare and education, during an exclusive interview with Meet the Press.

God Bless America in a few years after the full effect of all the brainwashed youth have all the power.

Obama won because he was a smooth talking bamboozling black man. The majority if not all the black population voted for him along with many whites.

This lady gets the nod because she is a young, pretty, latino.

Generation Z is rebelling though. They aren't as brainwashed and dependent as the millennials are.

It is early . . . she had over 13,000 votes to the traditional Democrat's over 9,000 in the Democrat primary.
The vultures of Washington DC might eat her alive, if she makes it there.
The Republican who she now faces in November is George Pappas who was in the GOP primary unopposed.

She seems kinda nauseating . . .

I suggest she won because she's attractive, well-spoken, earnest and shook hands with everyone in her district.

It's got nothing to do with her "Democratic Socialism".

Crowley hasn't lived in his district for 20 years.

I know nothing about her republican opponent (George Pappas) but I predict she will suffer a rousing defeat if he is a Trump supporter.
