Democratic-Republican Party

Is it hard to start a new party? I do understand getting on the ballots on the national stage wouldn't be cheap but what about on the local level?

Would it be posiable to use the name "Democratic-Republican" Party? Most of us that use these forums would agree with this party's ideology. The "Democratic-Republican" party split into various factions during the 1824 election, based more on personality than on ideology.

It would be easier to infiltrate one of the partiers and install the traditional values. There are so many rules and regulations and virtually impossible to get in on the voting system. Every state has different laws and they do it on purpose to keep it a 2 party system.

That is what is great about Ron Paul supporters a lot of us are involved in central committees on the local level, congress, senate and many other important areas. The old GOP is a dying party and they must take on our platform like they have started to or they cease to exist.

Infiltration first. I was thinking once we get enough Conservative Democrats & Conservative Republicans in office, perhaps then we could split and create the "Conservative Party." Next invite the Libertarians, Reformists, & Constitutionalists to come along.

I was just hoping...

to grab a majority of the people who vote that have no idea who they're voting for. If they were to see the category for the "Democratic-Republican" was there we may recive some unindented votes. My point of using this route is NOT plan A but rather for elections where we know that it's a Republican and Democratic establishment race.

Already exists. It has some prominence in New York, and smaller (and probably non-affiliated) versions of it are scattered about the country. It was backed by a pretty crooked financier, Tom Golisano. He was the one basically behind the New York Senate deadlock.

I think a "Constitutional Liberty" party would be better. It grabs both parties mentioned in the name. The only probably is getting the evangelical wing of the CP and the ancap wing of the LP to swallow each other.

If you want to go third party, go LP or CP right now I think.

When the Republicans were founded they were more liberal than conservative.

I think it would be smarter to infiltrate the Democrats: They're further away from us than the Republicans in ideology, so once we've stripped the Democratic party of its current, asinine ideals, it would be smooth sailing. The GOP would be much easier to topple from the outside than the Democratic party.

Right now we are making AMAZING progress in the Republican party. The neo-cons and centrists are aimless, flopping in the sand like a dying fish. We're the only faction with direction, organization, and velocity. Stick with the GOP - we're catching on, I'm telling ya!
