While I don't support Demint's view on foreign policy and homosexuality (and therefore would not support/vote for him if he were to run for President), I support almost all of his economic views/votes. He's a lot like Tom Coburn to me. They are vital in the Senate. But I would not want them as President due to their stance on civil issues and foreign interventionism.

I think Congress is allowed to bundle or sorts of unrelated stuff into bills. It's pretty messed up. But maybe it will help us in this case!

Well as I understood it they were saying the amendment can't be voted on in the Senate yet because it's an appropriations bill, but it doesn't appropriate any money at all so I'm not sure how that could possibly be true.

They were saying it effects policy. It changes the code to allow the GAO to audit the fed, therefore changing policy. As the video showed, the democraps have plenty of policy in this bill, and are hypocrites.
