Deliberate exclusion from so-called scientific polls: MUST READ

Wow, can't say I am surprised.

If they wanted any credibility they would record their calls and make their data public information.

I posted about this same time of thing this morning.. We really need to take this seriously. We can't just ignore this... Here's my post:

I'm still surprised to see no discussion about it...

Ahhh, you had a different link, sorry I missed your thread but at least I added something new. :) This is definitly a big deal. Crappy internet poll sites like racehorsewtfe can bite me all night long, but these guys are taken seriously by real people.

I am certainly not going to pay him $30 just to post a blog comment, but that's pretty close to the conversation I had during the last congressional / gubentorial election here.

I'm not surprised either.

Whenever I hear stuff like this, I remember the Ventura surprise.

:)

Reminds me of the 2000 election when Nader was in the race. We had a pollster call and ask if I was going to be supporting Republican or Democratic candidates for President, as well as other offices. When I told them that I wasn't sure yet, and that I was actually considering voting for Nader, the guy answered..."Oh???"

Fortunately, Ron Paul is not Ralph Nader. WORLDS of difference. He's not Jesse Ventura, either. Definitely not Dennis Kucinich.

Haha...Yeah I'm pretty sure that's against the rules (either written or unwritten) for conducting a non-biased poll.

Good news guys, Ron Paul is back on www.2008horserace.com/

It doesn't look like he's been back on very long. All of us should pay them a visit and thank them by taking part in their survey.

It would probably be a good idea to type the address into your browser manually, in case they're capable of tracking where you linked from.

I got one of those calls back in 2004. Nearly every question assumed I was voting for Bush or Kerry. Nader was only an option on a handful. They didn't even consider that I would be voting for Michael Badnarik.

Those "scientific" polls are biased as hell and a total scam.

I strongly object to your sentiment. They removed Ron Paul because they knew it'd draw attention to their site. They re-added him for the same reason. Their site sucks, ignore it. Do not vote on it, do not visit it, do not give them ad impression even much less click-throughs.

I had a feeling that they monkey with polls, but now I know for 100% fact that they show a strong bias against non-frontrunners.

Here is how these polls should work and I thought they did work like this:

Are you voting Democrat, Republican or other? Then list all the candidates in that choice, which should only include those running or are very likely to run with those likely listed at the bottom and the list should be alphabetical.
