Delegates in Puerto Rico, North Marianas, Guam, US Virgin Islands and American Samoa

So this appears to be a closed caucus in Guam then? I read that in 2004 something like 500 people voted for the 6 at large delegates from there.

Dr Paul needs to win the majority of delegates in 5 states to be eligible to be nominated.

Noone pays any attention to North Marianas, Puerto Rico, Guam, US Virgin Islands and American Samoa. But they have got delegates.

Primary/Caucus dates and delegates

Guam (Caucus)
Territorial Convention: Saturday, Feb. 9
Delegates: 9

U.S. Virgin Islands (Caucus)
Territorial Meetings: April 5
Delegates: 9

Puerto Rico (Primary)
Territorial Caucus: Sunday, Feb. 24, 2008
Puerto Rico will conduct a Territorial Caucus where the voting and allocation methods are still being determined.
Territorial Convention: Mar. 8, 2008
Delegates: 23

North Marianas (Caucus/Convention)
Saturday, Feb. 23
Delegates: 9

American Samoa (Caucus)
Territorial Convention: Saturday, Feb. 23
Delegates: 9

For all Jurisdictions - 3 party leaders: the national committeeman, the national committee woman, and the chairman of the state Republican Party. -> Delegates -3

What can we do to win these delegates. Phone banking?

This was mentioned before on here. I read it in the politics and others. Over a week ago was the date on it I do remember though.

How can I help in this????

Welcome to the rEVOLution--no pressure, but we're all counting on you.

Please watch the training videos by Tom Lizardo and John Tate.

Look into the advertising costs, etc., for the local newspapers and radio and TV. Keep an eye out for local polls on issues of interest there. We need to plan and place ads to help you out. Find out what you need and ask for help here--this forum is AMAZING.

Contact your local Republican Party, dress professionally (or appropriately there), volunteer, make nice. Make alliances!

We need to get a GOTV plan in place.

Follow as much information on that as you can get. See if you can find out WHO those 500 people are!!! Perhaps we need to throw a party or banquet or something for them--open bar.

Where are those videos?... Here in PR Ron Paul has never been mentioned on any news, nobody knows who he is. The local candidates here support people like the ghoul or obama or hillary ...it sucks.

You have to register as a volunteer first. The videos are in the volunteer section of ronpaul2008.com.

Be sure to check your spam mails because this is where they sent my confirmation.

I pledge to give money to chip-ins or projects for media and exposure in these areas and I bet a lot of others would too.

We can win these delegates and they are just as valuable as ones from NY or CA.

We need warm bodies in these territories to organize things.

Just ask for the money...we'll get you some.

puertorico4paul, are there other Paul supporters in your region? Start a meetup, get to know Caucus rules, start chipins for local media, identify voters, get out the vote. There are a lot of grassroots ads you could publish.

If anyone is calling in Puerto Rico, I can have my wife make some calls. She is from the Dominican Republic and Spanish is her first language.

She is going to kill me for this but.. Oh well.

There is no registration by party in American Samoa. All registered voters are eligible to participate in the February 23 convention. Those who attend will be required to join the party by paying party dues at the door if not already paid. Delegates and alternates will be selected from among Party members. The leadership or any qualified delegate may offer a motion to instruct the delegation on who to vote for at the national convention.

www.territories4paul.com is available if anyone wants to make a site.

Also I am about to start a San Juan meetup group. Once I get a couple of people in the group I will pass it off to someone there. I will get it English now, and later tonight or tomorrow my wife can redo it in Spanish.

Also I get two free extra meetups after the first one. Which would be the best to do? Virgin Islands, Marianas, Guam?
