Delegate Stories (A compendium of shared RP delegate experiences)

Updated the front page, still looking for more stories.

Question for the floor, should I add all the info about GA, MO etc?

Bump. Please subscribe to this thread, and whenever you log on bump it. It's important

Perhaps the banner at the top for Phone for Home should be replaced with a become a delegate banner?

Becoming a delegate is key, and it should be a top priority, however I think the banner is best left as is since people from all states can still support the campaign by phoning from home while the opportunities to become a delegate are winnowed as the race goes on.

I really hope people are taking involvement in their local party process seriously, becoming delegates and taking PCO spots as often as possible (if you're not sure about your local area look into it or ask for help, better apply that to assume you can't :) ).
Also anyone who runs into information on the delegate process on this or other sites or in other threads (first hand accounts, detailed descriptions, so fourth) please post links. There's so much information out there I'm certain I'm missing useful things which could be included in this thread.

BAMP.

Also, yes - add info from GA, MO, MA, NV, etc. The more accounts that we have, the clearer picture we have. On top of that, we can devise different strategies based on the individual environments of different precincts/conventions. If the precinct is small and friendly, we have strategy X. If the convention is huge and hostile, we have strategy X. Different strategies for different situations, but having the same desired end state - accumulating the most delegates we can for Dr. Paul, while also having an influence on local/county/state affairs.

I occurs to me that I should mention when I update the OPs. So... I've done several updates (sorry I'm running a little late with the word on that :o )

Just wanted to share something 2nd hand from a friends county. I have a co-worker who is in his 60's. He was a delegate to attend the county convention in Jefferson County, CO. (SW Denver suburbs. Pop 530k). He is not a Ron Paul supporter (as much as I tried to persuade him) but rather a supporter of any one who could beat Obama. He was given no instructions when to show up, but was told the event would be last Saturday. He showed up a bit late and refused entry. He was told when he arrived that everyone had to be in there seat at 9am to or would be refused entry. He tells me he was never informed a time before hand.

He later called up some of the county reps and complained about the lack of information. They said he would be included on future emails. He is very disappointed on how poorly things have been handled so far. My friend still believes he will be a state delegate (although I'm not sure how, others with a bit more knowledge of the process may know).

Either way, from what I gather, its not entirely a "exclude Ron Paul" thing. Its a combination of incompetence and good ol boys club. Many county club's members seem to have its their quirks and own preferences who should be represented and will do what it takes to exclude anyone else they deem as non members. A bit tin foil hat on my part, but its hard to argue with the complaints from dozens of separate counties with different candidates being the beneficiary. All in all, I thank all the folks who record events and encourage transparency. While I want Ron Paul to win, I am very thankful we have not seen any Ron Paul supporters stoop to that level. I would rather have honest elections. I feel we are far from that right now.

some more updates, maybe even more tonight if I have the time

also please still feel free to link more stories here, I'm sure I'm still missing many and I would like to make this resource as complete as possible :)
