The MSM is constantly showing the delegate count with a 1164 needed to win nomination. These numbers, and this info, is a tactic to confuse everyone.

The REAL delegate counts DO NOT get started, or applied to any candidate until the >County<, and >State< conventions get over with, and to my knowledge there HAS NOT been any conventions in any State ...yet. This my friends is where the rubber WILL FUCKING MEET THE ROAD.

These MSM delegate counts you see daily are not in stone, but more a blip on the barometer, and just gives this football team rah rah feel to it. This is not the reality.

You people getting drunk and giving up is what TPTB want you to do...give up...go home..cry in your pillow. Not me. I'm a county delegate for Ron, just waiting around for my County Convention to get here in a few months.

Gawd i wish some of you whiners would just go ahead and join up with the Obama campaign and stay the hell away from my revolution.

read my post 10 times, and then read it some more, because i swear some of you have thick skulls.

Some states award delegates based on state law, like New Hampshire. Those delegates are set in stone unless someone quits like Huntsman.

is it just the caucus states where the delegates are up for grabs or some of the primaries as well?

+1

The message isn't about one person getting elected
I hope your right. I want to get five people together to start an education campaign about the Federal Reserve. I had one join but I seem to have lost contact. Let me guess... not interested?

Is there anyway to overturn that at the state convention?

I've heard that you can put forth a motion to send the state delegation to the RNC as unbound delegates. I'm not sure to what extent that you can change the GOP rules at the convention though. I think it would really depend on the amount of delegates you get to the convention, and whether you have control of the chair. I'm sure someone better versed in the procedure can chime in.

We are gaining power at that state level regardless. This has always been in Ron Pauls plan. Fight until the bitter end. Im reminded of this quote:

The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of his country; but he that stands it NOW deserves the love and thanks of man and woman. - Thomas Paine

Exactly. This why it so damn critical to stay engaged, and stop eating and drinking the shit off your TV. Screw the vote counts at these caucuses. Its been explained ad naseum that its county delegates for Ron Paul that WE need. Not some fantasy ''ooooo we won a State!...yay! woohoo look at me! Bullshit...fucking DELEGATES god dammit is whats important, because if we don't get a clear majority of 'volunteered' Ron Paul delegates at these local conventions...well then, i will be getting drunk and will start building my StarShip for my journey to Alpha Centaurii within the week...

State law means that it can only be changed by passing a bill in the State House and State Senate then have it signed by the Governor.

It may not be state law though - if it's a GOP statute, then I believe it could be changed.

You're right. Dr. Paul has killer organization to rack up these delegates. We all must learn Robert's Rules of Order in order to be effective.
