DefendTheDistrict.com- Ron Paul's congressional run is under attack!

I agree, if Ron would lose in the primary the press would twist it to show he isn't viable to win something national.

Someone should email all the meetup groups, everyone donating a dollar would hit the goal in no time.

Is it a violation to donate to this campaign if someone is maxed out for the Presidential campaign?

Is it a violation to donate to this campaign if someone is maxed out for the Presidential campaign?

No - email from Congrssional campaign is very clear on this.

OK. This is for the supporters. I'm going to try to convince the people here that giving to Ron Paul's Congressional Campaign is absolutely vital to his Presidential campaign. I'm writing it as though it were a piece of political advertisement that would appear on something like a Slim-Jim. Here goes.

RON PAUL FOR CONGRESS

Why should I donate to Ron Paul's Congressional campaign?
If Ron Paul loses his congressional seat and does not win the Presidency, then we will lose his voice forever from the political stage. Make no bones about it. Ron Paul is the only one left in Washington that still truly speaks for the people and the values that will protect our freedom. Ron Paul is the last man standing. We MUST make sure he keeps his congressional seat.

Isn't Ron Paul's congressional win a given? How can he lose when he's so well supported by his constituents?
Don't count on it. Look at the massive amount of vote fraud evidence in this Presidential election. Look at New Hampshire. Look at Louisiana. Look at the level of propaganda from the mainstream media. Remember the previous attempts to disenfranchise Ron Paul from his constituents by Texas redistricting. Think about all the cases of fraud with electronic voting machines. Do you honestly believe the political machine will not do everything in its power to make Ron Paul go away?
The safest prediction is to assume that every dirty trick in the book will be thrown at Ron Paul in this Congressional bid. That's why it's so important to give as much as we possibly can to RonPaulforCongress.com. Let's give Dr. Paul the ammo he needs to protect his place in Texas, and to make sure we, the people, still have a voice left in Washington.

What if I'm maxed out on donations to Ron Paul Presidential campaign?
The congressional race is separate from his presidential run. If you donated the maximum $2300.00 to Ron Paul for President, you can still donate another $2300.00 to his Congressional campaign.

Can Ron Paul's Congressional race and Presidential race help each other?
Absolutely. Why can't the production of marketing for Ron Paul's campaign enjoy a little crossover, as long as it doesn't break any FEC laws. Why can't a congressional ad be aired nationwide? All it needs to say is "Vote for Ron Paul" with it's message, and the quick little blurb at the end "paidforbythecommitteetoreelectronpaul2007." This is why those that have maxed out in the Presidential campaign should do it again with his congressional run. It's time for you to DOUBLE-MAX! A donation to Ron Paul for Congress is a donation to Ron Paul for President! DONATE NOW!

Who are we?
People learn by repetition. We follow the beliefs and morals that are installed in us by our strongest leaders. Because rulers throughout history have shown that they would much rather place their owns interests and desires above the wishes and needs of their citizens, every method available has been used to keep the people’s enlightenment under government control. Tyrants have learned that the easiest way to control the masses is by instilling a belief system that best serves the rulers‘ interests. And the best way to shape their beliefs is through the use of Mass Propaganda and a repressive centralized government. Except for our Founding Fathers in drafting the Constitution of the United States of America, leaders have never in history placed their desire for tyrannical rule beneath contempt and under the will of the people. Today’s political leaders are no different. Our current representatives have betrayed the trust of the American people by perverting the beliefs of its citizens away from the ideals that made America the greatest country in human history - Our Constitution and its Bill of Rights. The Mass Propaganda of the last hundred years has slowly led the American people away from the perpetual need to always be vigilant against a government’s abuse of power over its people. We have been lulled to complacency by our leaders’ lies. The political machine has repeated these lies for years, and convinced the people that it speaks for them. But it's days of propaganda are now numbered. Today it's our turn.

Today, the message has a leader and we must assure that his and our voices remain heard. We MUST help Ron Paul get his message out loud and clear throughout the nation. Every time the political machine tries to silence that message, we MUST shout louder and stronger and never stop. Every time the political machine defeats our purpose and distracts the people from our message, we MUST pick ourselves up and shout again. We will keep losing the battles. Our voices will continue to be silenced. But as long as we keep shouting, as long as we keep canvassing, as long as we keep donating, as long as we keep becoming precinct leaders, as long as we never slow down, never give in, never give up, and as long as we never stop, WE WILL WIN THE WAR!!

We will be like the rooster that rises us at dawn. We will call out our message of freedom, peace and prosperity to the sky every day and every day and every day, until the people become so familiar with the message, that it will become home to them like a warm fire in a cold room.
We will be relentless in our drive, we will be determined in our resolve, we will be unwavering in our pursuit for our return to the American dream.
We are the Roosters of the Revolution - daily calling to arms the peoples of America until every last one of us has woken up from our dictatorial nightmare.
We are the Alarms of Mourning - harshly shaking the fear and cold from a frightfully wakened heart.
We are Birds of the Sun - singing the praises of the new day and signaling the living of when the next storm may arrive.
We are Protectors of the Constitution.
We must only keep shouting.
We must only keep our voices heard.
We must only not stop.
Then we will win the War.

Please donate today to www.ronpaulforcongress.com and help Dr. Paul keep his Congressional seat. If you are maxed out at www.ronpaul2008.com, then please give the maximum of $2300.00 or as much as you can to www.ronpaulforcongress.com or www.defendthedistrict.com.

And don't forget to continue donations to http://www.ronpaul2008.com.
Keep shouting.

There. That was my attempt at political advertising. Hope it had some effect.

Come On People!

i threw in $100. Come on people. If we can raise $1 million in a day, surely we can raise a couple hundred thousand so he can win his Congressional bid.

Dear Congressional District 14 Republican Primary Voters:

My name is Chris Peden. I'm a Pro-Family, Pro-Life Christian conservative who believes in free markets and individual responsibility.

I'm running for Congress because it's clear that our traditional values need a proven conservative voice in Washington, D.C. In essence, we need Republicans to vote like Republicans again.

I'm the Mayor Pro Tem in Friendswood and a certified public accountant by profession. As the Mayor Pro Tem, I led the fight for the first ever municipal tax refund; returning over $1 million dollars of their hard-earned money back to Friendswood's taxpayers.

In a victory for personal property rights, I voted to limit the city’s power of eminent domain to traditional uses and not for purely economic development reasons; in Texas a family’s home is their castle and it deserves to be protected from government bureaucrats.

I've earned a reputation as a passionate fighter for the principles that I believe are right, whether I'm in the majority or the minority. I'm a man deeply rooted and motivated by my faith and guided by traditional values, who believes in "fighting the good fight," no matter how difficult, no matter how long the odds of victory.

That's why even though we fell short, I fought LULAC and the rising tide of liberalism and led the movement to get the question of making English the official language of the City of Friendswood on the ballot. I believe English is the glue that holds this great country together and it’s the language of hope, opportunity, and progress. I felt official English was of such significance to the citizens that we owed it to the people to let them decide. We lost that battle, but we fought it; and I'll fight for you in the U.S. Congress.

I am a proven conservative Republican; the incumbent is a self-described Libertarian. I support winning the Global War on Terror and the War on Drugs; the incumbent does not. I think Islamo-Fascist terrorists were responsible for the 9/11 attacks; the incumbent thinks America's Middle East policy's were responsible for the attacks. I support fully funding NASA's budget and the Vision for Space Exploration; the incumbent does not. I will support and vote for the Republican nominee for U.S. President in 2008, the incumbent will not (unless it's him.)

It is clear that I better represent the priorities and the values of the voters in the 14th congressional district.

If you agree that it is time for a change, send me to Washington. D.C, so that I deliver conservative results...for a change.

Please sign up for The Peden Perspective e-mail newsletter so I can keep you posted on campaign developments and if you have any questions/or comments, please send them to me at: [email protected]

God Bless you and Texas,

What an ass wipe, and if an ad like this one can "get through" to the voters, I'm all for getting the hell outta Dodge... Sorry Texas, you are on your own and I hope you make an informed decision.

The problem with people like you is that you have no clue what it COSTS!

You would rather bankrupt our country and keep things the way they are. You think this country was founded on "us" against "them". Blue vs Red. You are absolutely correct... Ron Paul doesn't really care about what is best for the Republican party. Because it really isn't the Republican party anymore. Ron Paul cares about what is best for AMERICA. This is one of the major problems with this country and people like you are contributing to it. People vote as if they were just supporting their favorite sports team.

I'm an independent and I believe his message. I registered Republican JUST to vote for him.

Something tells me that you probably don't know how to balance a checkbook and probably have a mountain of debt. Like McCain, and Romney, and Huckabee.

If you understood that over half of our Income tax that is STOLEN from our paychecks goes to pay the INTEREST on money that our government has already spent, you'd vote for Ron Paul.

If you understood that the OTHER half of the Income Tax goes to maintaining 700 bases in 130 countries while pissing off extremists (just as we would be pissed off if they were here), then you'd vote for Ron Paul.

If you understood that our own CIA, the 9/11 Commission and Bin Laden HIMSELF have confirmed that the attacks on 9/11 were a result of our foreign policy and decades of empire building at the cost of American lives and America's future, then you'd vote for Ron Paul.

But you don't understand. You'd rather stick your fingers in your ears and go to that "happy place" where our government tells you everything is ok, while president NumNuts asks Congress to borrow another 3 TRILLION dollars from Communist China for the 2009 budget.

You have the luxury of charging up your credit cards and saying your life is great, then declaring bankruptcy because for the most part, you are the only one that is affected. The Government doesn't have that luxury. The American people don't have that luxury.

The Government isn't spending THEIR money. They are spending OUR money. They are charging up OUR credit cards. Our grandchildren's credit cards. In the normal world, I'd call the credit card company and report FRAUDULANT purchases!!! But I can't do that with our Government. I'm a slave as are you.

Donating tonight

Ron Paul does not need to also have this concern.

Chris needs a financial education on what it costs US to support his big-spending plans and seems to have missed the class on Constitution 101. These folks pop up every election cycle around here.

Ron Paul mentioned focusing on his run for Congress during the Conference Call

He still needs $250K in the next 24 to 48 hours.

It would be irresponsible for him to neglect his House seat, so I presume he'll be spending as much time on that as is necessary. The faster he raises the money the quicker he can get his attention back to the Presidential race.

Please donate if you can, and spread the word to your meetups.

Thanks so much for posting this!

For anyone "maxed out" on the Presidential campaign, feel free to help out Texans for Ron Paul by donating here: http://www.ronpaulforcongress.com/

We're a little over a third of the way to $400 K.
Even a "Money Grenade" would take care of that!

Put my donations in both campaigns today. More after the 15th.

Thanks everyone for helping.

Does the donation limit for his congressional run include past donations to his presidential run?
