Wonder why we aren't doing better?! [MUST SEE]

Whether Ron wins or not, depends solely on whether or not we and Ron understand what is being discussed in this video:

Deceiving Images: The Science of Manipulation

I really believe in what he says and I fully understand where he's coming from. But without the knowledge of how propaganda or better our brain works, he can not win anything.

But please don't move it anywhere, cause it's too important for everyone not to see it.

Wouldn't it be fantastic to get someone like Drew Westen (Professor of Psychology/Psychiatry and Behavioral Science) on our staff??

Drew Westen

I think it would be money well spent bringing an expert in this field into the campaign.

FU Frank.

I hope HQ has people who understand this and can use it to our advantage.

The first guy had a great point of framing... The democrat's argument (and Ron Paul's) of the war in Iraq actually helps the Republicans. (It doesn't serve our interests, war is unwinnable, and it's illegitimate)

bumpity bump.... This is an extremely informative video. We can make good use of the advice they give. It's not manipulation, it's taking advantage of innate human nature. Everyone else is doing it.

Every Ron supporter needs to understand it, not just the HQ.

I don't watch TV anymore, haven't in years. I do listen to the radio and use the internet, and read my local paper a little bit. Whenever I do see TV, especially network TV or news, it all looks fake to me. How can people believe that stuff?

Thanks for posting this. Important stuff. One of my frustrations has to do with how some folks are very knowledgeable about a particular issue. They will know it inside out. From current bills & laws. To who the players are and opposition etc. From knowing it so well they can see who the PTB/MSM attack or how "accurate" the story is or how it is framed/misleading/obtuse/or just plain wrong. The press lies and they know it yet with other subjects they may not follow or only generally know about will tend to accept what the MSM says. It drives me nuts. The press lies and has an agenda so how can tell when they are lying and when they are not?

Because if you took the time to watch the god damn thing, you'd see it's how our brain works that's the reason their propaganda works. It's human nature, as in we can't help it.

Besides, you think that there's no propaganda in news papers?

Fabulous video! I think the panelists made some fantastic points.

This campaign has been focused on the issues -- after watching that video, it's clear that that's been a mistake. We should be conscious of the invoked frames/context (in ads, speeches, debates, etc), and use emotion more than reason.

This is the precisely course correction that is so badly needed.
