Dear Trumpskiites. "Rapidly" does not equal "Wait their turn."

The cognitive dissonance of the some Trump supporters is getting unbearable. If they were honest, and they're not, they would have to admit that Trump's statement that he would deport all illegals, but bring back the "good ones rapidly" is de facto amnesty. To avoid this truth that shatters their main reason for supporting him then go with two obviously untrue arguments.

1) The "good illegal immigrants" doesn't "most illegal immigrants"

2) "Rapidly" means "wait their turn."

Let's take dishonest statement #1. Trump has railed against illegals that are convicted felons, gang members and potential terrorists or who are freeloaders who don't work. Okay. Is there anybody here who's going to try to argue that this represents only a small minority of illegals? If so, provide your evidence. If not, admit that the "good illegals" Trump says he will bring back "rapidly" are actually most illegals.

Now let's take dishonest statement #2. Is there anyone who believes "rapidly" means "go to the back of the line and wait your turn?" If you honestly believe that, then you simply do not know enough about the current legal immigration process to intelligently engage in a discussion about it. The current illegal immigration system is anything but "rapid." If Trump really meant "Deport them and let them go to the back of the line" then that's what he should have said. Other politicians who have advocated deportation have said that. So why did Trump need to change the language? Obvious guy says because that's NOT what he meant.

So, advocate for Trump all you want. Just do it honestly. I will call you out every time I see you doing it dishonestly.

I read a post the other day where someone was trying to say only 0.5% of those deported were the "good ones" who could come back in. I think the person who posted that was serious.

Trump's plan is definitely amnesty for the great majority of illegal immigrants. And it's definitely a more expensive way of going about it than is necessary.

On Fox News on November 12, Trump’s son Eric expressed frustration that the media overlooks this:

The point isn’t just deporting them, it’s deporting them and letting them back in legally. He’s been so clear about that and I know the liberal media wants to misconstrue it, but it’s deporting them and letting them back legally.

In an interview with CNN’s Dana Bash earlier this year, Trump explained his plan this way:

I would get people out and then have an expedited way of getting them back into the country so they can be legal…. A lot of these people are helping us … and sometimes it’s jobs a citizen of the United States doesn’t want to do. I want to move ’em out, and we’re going to move ’em back in and let them be legal.

With Contested Primary Likely, Donald Trump’s Donations To California Democrats Come To Light

March 15, 2016 10:52 PM

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — Donald Trump has contributed to the campaigns of several high-profile Democrats in California including Gov. Jerry Brown.

As a candidate, his supporters say they like his straightforward approach, but as a political donor, his message isn’t so clear.

His front-running pursuit of the Republican nomination includes a hardline approach to immigration, including building a wall on the Mexico border and banning sanctuary cities.

But campaign finance records show before he was campaigning for president, Trump contributed to California Democrats who back sanctuary cities.

He gave Democratic California Attorney General Kamala Harris $5,000 in 2011 and another $1,000 in 2013. He gave Democrat Gavin Newsom $2,500 in 2009, and Brown $2,500 in 2004 and another $1,000 in 2006.

California Republican strategist Rob Stutzman says that’s part of the reason he doesn’t support Trump.

“There’s no bigger supporter of democrats running for the United States president than Donald Trump,” he said.

Trump’s campaign statements don’t ring true to Stutzman when it comes to the candidate’s past political acts.

“Donald Trump now enters politics saying the most outrageous things anyone could ever imagine coming out of the mouth of a candidate, and has expressed through prior behavior that he doesn’t believe these things at all,” he said.

With Ohio going to Kasich, Trump will be forced to campaign in California to earn the Republican nomination as a contested GOP Convention looks more likely.

“It very well could come down to California at this point,” he said.

That "person" was "RonPaulGeorge&Ringo". He gave me another neg rep for this thread. People like him can't stand the truth.

Do you have to be such a rude jerk?

Do you have to be such a (mod edit)? Seriously, you call me a liar and lie in the process of calling me a liar, and you get upset because I call you a liar?

Here ya go.

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2016/03/03/trump-softens-h1b-visa-policy-during-gop-debate.html

Republican front-runner Donald Trump said Thursday he is softening his stance on visas for highly-skilled workers.

“I’m changing. We need highly-skilled people in this country,” Trump said during the Fox News Republican debate in Detroit. “If we can’t do it, we will get them in.”

Trump’s stance toward awarding H1-B visas is different from the one he takes on his campaign website, which argues that more visas for highly-skilled foreigners would “decimate American workers.”

“One of the biggest problems we have is people go to the best colleges … as soon as they’re finished, they get shoved out. They want to stay in this country," Trump said at the debate. "They want to stay here desperately. They’re not able to stay here. For that purpose, we absolutely have to be able to keep the brainpower in this country.”

Trump said he was now in favor of the H1B-visa program - despite what his website still says.

“So you are abandoning the position on your website?” Fox News debate moderator Megyn Kelly asked.

“I’m changing it and I’m softening the position because we have to have talented people in this country,” Trump said.

So Donald Trump, by his own admission, has changed positions on immigration faster than his webmaster can keep up with.

Thank you for posting this! More evidence that Trump isn't saying what his self deceived followers believe he is saying. So "rapidly" and "expedited" means "go to the back of the line and wait with everyone else?" Good grief!

It comes down to who do you trust more. I trust Trump. W/e the outcome his plan will be cheaper than Cruz or Kasich. Nit picking what he said out of context is just a sophist way to attack someone.

Who talks about the wall? Trump does. Who has the balls to basically set the tone? Trump does. So spare me this analysis. I am not going to spend hours looking at everything each candidate said. If you do it's your loss. I spent hours listening and following Trump and did not find inconsistencies in what he says from crowd to crowd. I found things I don't like that he says.

Do you have to be such a hypocrite? Seriously, you call me a liar and lie in the process of calling me a liar, and you get upset because I call you a liar?
Where in this thread did I call you a liar? I didn't. But, you have gone from one insult to the other.

Sounds kinda like how sometimes Ron changed how he described his position on abortion in various interviews just enough such that many really had no clue that he was against stopping it however it could be stopped. And that since he was a U.S. Congressmen, he was trying to stop it at the federal level. There were times on this forum that I'll bet nearly 75% of the people here had it wrong.

This is Trump's position on illegal immigration:

LOL. Are you stupid or just trolling? Trump had to admit in a recent debate that his own website didn't reflect his latest position on immigration.

Not only that, but I can't find anything in that section of the website that clearly contradicts the touchback amnesty plan, where everyone other than criminal aliens gets to cut to the front of the line and come back to the US with legal status faster than all the other people who have been waiting for years to get in legally.

All I see on that page is a long list of one big-government freedom eroding thing after another that Ron Paul spent his career railing against.

Same thing happens to me just about daily. I can't figure out how that guy manages to keep giving out so many reps to the same person so rapidly.

Trump haters need to seriously find a real cause and stop with this silliness.

Maybe start a campaign to write in Rand Paul, or rally around Gary Johnson for that super great 1% feeling.

And, seriously… stop calling my friends names like some drunken barfly.

Does that go for Obama and Bush haters too? Opposing tyrants has always been a big part of this website.

So, opposing tyrants is your cause and this thread is the vehicle?

C'mon man, that's just a little bit funny, no?

 Why do you hate the truth so much? I'm not being a "Trump hater". I'm being honest. Trump is pushing for expensive amnesty. Once upon a time this forum tirelessly went after all dishonest politicians. Now people like you are carrying their water for them.
