Breaking doors, shooting dogs, and stealing people's money wasn't enough. Let's go sink a boat!

http://www.washingtonpost.com/local...d61794-1320-11e3-b220-2c950c7f3263_story.html

A District of Columbia police boat struck at least two vessels on the Potomac River near Georgetown, causing one smaller boat to partially sink.

Witnesses say a harbor patrol boat was making a U-turn Saturday evening about 7 p.m. when it struck at least two other boats docked at the Georgetown waterfront. No one was hurt in the crash.

One boat was flipped on its side and was left partially underwater along the waterfront overnight.

The U.S. Coast Guard and D.C. police responded to the scene and have launched an investigation. The investigation continues to determine what caused the crash.

Looks like cop was showboating and his skills weren't as big as his ego.

There was a crowd there. Was he goofing around for the crowd?

What a tool.

Wow. Interesting, because I just bought a boat and have been studying hard trying hard to learn all the laws that are now applicable to me.

Did he get charged with anything for that nonsense?

DC Internal Investigators have determined that the officer piloting that boat was obviously under a spell being cast by the foreign videographer.

Any criminal charges/boating infractions that might've applied to you or I if we did that to his boat should also apply to the cop. Careless or reckless boating...?

On the water was one of the last refuges from asshole cops hut hutting around.

Not anymore.

Every time I turn around I see some new tax sled painted up in naval warfare colors, loaded down with bunch of badges, tooling around burning 150 gallons an hour through six (yeah you read that right) 250HP Mercurys.

Oh yeah, and armed to the teeth.

It'll only be a matter of time before they light up some family out cruising in their Sea Ray for Contempt of Clam Cop.

That close to a dock is definitely a no-wake zone. He should be charged for violating maritime buoy markers, as well as collision with another vessel.

And whatever was so important (as to risk a stupid move) It will have to wait.

That boat was disabled.. (Props Trashed)

I just hope that all of the officers made it home safely to their families--that's the first priority.

Good point. It just goes to show you how dangerous their line of work is, thank goodness they are armed to the teeth and aren't afraid to use it.

Are the foreign terrorists who were filming the Watergate in Gitmo yet?

Anyone, outside of a cop, with any sort of commercial license could kiss it goodbye after this video surfaced.
Any pleasure boater would merely get his ass sued and spend some time in jail for at least reckless boating.

In my state, I would also lose my powered boating license.
