DC GOP snubs Ron Paul supporters at straw poll

The local GOP in a nearby county (Iredell) here in NC has refused to even put Paul on the ballot for their straw poll citing "Paul will likely not be a Republican at the time of the election this fall.". I agree that it's simply time to stop supporting them financially if they aren't going to support us. A sign wave/protest with the media there is in order.

The GOP will not survive November without us. This isn't just me saying it.. polls are confirming it. They're taking the group who raised the most money last quarter and totally alienating them.

Hey...wait a minute...

Don't be a reactionary. We need to take over the GOP, not just stand in the corner and pout.

Yes, I thought that was the point! Ron Paul is a Republican! We are rebuilding this party. I am tired of lying ass democrats faking out Blacks and Hispanics. I want this party to go back to its origins. Kick the bums OUT! Learn the tricks and use them to KICK THE BUMS OUT!

People need a choice...and it should be THE CONSTITUTION. Sound money, mind our own business, take care of home first!

I am a first time republican, former uncommitted, former democrat. I would rather spend my time rebuilding this party. Maybe that is because I don't know squat about the L Party.

Thank you for your service.

I hope people reading this understand that we can never go back to the Rep. party. They have mocked and cheated us way too much. We would all have to be submissive bitches to play nice ever again.

Welcome to the revolution. I have an ammo box reserved for you Bradley. In time, you will have the courage to use it. ;)

This is my last year as a Republican.
Same for me and my hb. We've told the GOP fund raisers who call our home phone this very thing. I'm pretty sure they're hurting for cash right now... if not yet... soon.

.

Leaving the GOP will do nothing. They want us to leave for heaven's sake!

Cowards, the whole lot of you.

We are planning a counter-coup in Louisiana, we are starting to organize now to take over our state central committee.
We have the numbers to do it.

10.30 AM and still no announcement

The DC GOP has still not released the actual results from our straw poll last night. We had one of our long-time DC GOP activists, Adrian, as our official observer for our campaign monitor the voting. Trust me, if Adrian suspected a hint of shenanigans we'd all know. There wasn't. (McCain first, Romney second, Paul third)

So, why not just announce the actual results? Isn't our money as good as the McCain and Romney money?

This is my last year as a Republican.

The whole system is screwed- So not much luck their, trust me I was a Democrat turned republican and its all the same. You have a leftist McCain winning here and Artillery on the other side. Its now a ONE party system...

Same here in my county. It's actually going to be cake. We out number them 2 to 1 if I can get the majority of our members to show up. Even with the few that we do have (including myself) on the REC, we have a majority on nights where they barely meet quorum. This is WAY easier than some of you think it is. They're starving for members and money.

Here is the message the DC GOP finally put out:

DC Republicans,

Last night's annual Lincoln Douglass Day dinner and Republican Presidential Straw Poll was a great success. We had over 320 Republicans attend to what proved to be a great event. I want to thank everyone that came and helped make this happen.

I am pleased to announce the results of the Straw Poll: Senator John McCain came in first 43.5% of the vote. Governor Mitt Romney rounded out second with 35.3%, Congressman Ron Paul organized a strong third place with 8.1%, America's Mayor Rudy Giuliani scored 6.4% and Governor Mike Huckabee showed at 5.1% of the vote. I want thank each of the candidates, the volunteers, and the delegates who came last night to show their support for their candidates. It is because of their hard work, that DC Republicans will have for the first time in a long time, five very qualified candidates to choose from on the February 12th DC Republican Primary.

If you would like to get involved in any of these campaigns, please let me know.

Sincerely,

Robert J. Kabel
