DC GOP snubs Ron Paul supporters at straw poll

I got a size ten motorcycle boot for their ass you can borrow. Its fully charged with the howitzer mode roundhouser. Take them out and Huckabee and Norris in one fell swoop versus their foul sweep.

HTH
Randy

LOL I love your way.

This is my first and last year as a republican. I only joined the party cause of Ron and have had no plans on staying in due to how I and the rest of us Ron Paul Republicans have been treated. I will most likely switch to 3rd Party or back to Independent after this election.

I became a republican during Reagans run from a Dem.
I was going to register Independent last year when I found out Ron Paul was running for President.
So I stuck it out on the Republican party just for voting Ron Paul.
After he gets elected, I'll change to Ind. Unless of course, Ron manages to get the Rep Party back to where it should be.

Our Republican party is going to kick ass when we are done with it. *grabs hammer*

Anyone who is registering as 3rd party after this election.

WHY??

You're fellow Ron Paul Republicans running for local office, congress, and senate NEED your support and votes during their primaries and elections.

Did washington insiders promise McCain the nomination in return for staying in the party, supporting bush and other republicans?

I've always voted almost solid Republican, with the exception of the occasional Libertarian, but the GOP has completely lost me. After this election I will register Independent and not support any Republican unless I know they are a Ron Paul Republican. Fuck the GOP. They have no principles, no integrity, and no class.

Don't be a reactionary. We need to take over the GOP, not just stand in the corner and pout.

You're a riot. If there are some Ron Paul Republicans for me to vote for, I'll change to GOP for the day. When it's my time to run, I'll probably run Independent. I've seen no evidence of anything good coming out of the GOP since Goldwater, aside from Ron Paul.

I didn't say the Republican party is good. That's not why I want you to join the GOP. I want you to join so we can MAKE IT GOOD. What part of that do you not to understand?

Third party is impossible in America. We can try to change that, and we should, but it will take decades. So in the meantime, you can stand in the corner and pout, or you can join the many thousands of us that are already working our way into the party structure to take it over.

What's better, fighting two massive entrenched enemies, or hijacking one and using it to combat the other?

See?

If that happened to me, I would have tipped tables and left in disgust.

My donation amount today just went up....this serious motivates me to put these GOP sheep out to pasture...thanks for the update Bradley....

So, after paying $150 each to attend the reception, Lincoln-Douglass (that's Fredrick Douglass) dinner and straw poll at the DC GOP, we were snubbed.

[By way of background, Paul Craney the Executive Director of the DC GOP has been treating us very well and has been extremely helpful. That said, the party establishment here has been solidly behind Rudy Giuliani (and have now switched to McCain).]

That is why I was surprised when after the reception and dinner they had some schmuck announce the straw poll results: jokingly referred to write-ins for Captain Morgan and Richard Nixon and then skipped to "in second place [with no vote totals] Mitt Romney..." The Paul table (there were others of us scattered around, but my table was front and center -- kudos to Craig for forking over the extra big bucks for that), well, we protested, shouted, etc.

Long story short, Dr. Paul came in third (one at our table was an observer at the ballot counting), Mitt second and McCain first. No totals were announced (and they weren't going to mention us or Huckabee--and reportedly Obama got a vote). They have still not released the vote totals.

Paul Craney came over afterwards to apologize. I relayed to him several times that everyone was really pissed. He explained, as he has previously, that there are so few Republicans in DC that he needs all of us and has tried to be as inclusive and helpful as possible.

So, in the end, they'll take our money and want our votes so long as they can pretend we're not really there. Sorry, just needed to vent.

That's really incredible. Does he know that he''s a two-faced s.o.b?
Just f*ing incredible...

The GOP does not want conservatives in the party. I hope that Ron will run under a third party and that all of his supporters continue to support him and his message. Ignore that crap about "a vote for Ron is a vote for the dems". The republican party doesn't deserve our support if Ron is not on the ticket as a republican. Its time for change, and voting for socialists, no matter what letter is beside their names, is not the way to get it.

If Ron Paul does not win this election....

I am higly recommending we deliver the Republican Party a message.

Enmasse we boycott the Republican Party just as we did Fox News.

We pick a day and have a Republican Party Drop Out Bomb!!!

This is the only way we can get them the message is to make an impact all at once just like we do with money bombs.

Independents rarely get elected. You will just be wasting everyone's time.

Boycotting it? They want us gone. They would be cheering.

They don't necessarily want US gone but they want us to keep our mouths shut and just help elect republicans (well, all but Ron Paul).

Oh yeah, they'll take our money and are loving seeing the influx of new people to the party, just don't remind them of the republican creed or any other principles they're supposed to stick to.

Sounds like DC and La. have more in common than just the "chocolate cities" and general widespread political corruption.
