Yeah, I'm a huge Bowie fan. From Ziggy to the Thin White Duke, Berlin years to Scary Monsters... so when I heard his latest single for the album Blackstar I was perplexed... so damn challenging. Well, 20 listens later all I got to say is... amazing. Give it a listen, give it 10.

Got to be too stoned to enjoy that......maybe if I ever hear it again I may like it more but for now I no likey

Sounds like some of the stuff off Radiohead Kid A. But better and more melodic.

I get that for sure. Also, it ties back to Bowies 1976 classic Station to Station which bounced around stylestically over 9 minutes as well.

Bowie went out in style with this. Some aspects of the vocals are reminiscent of Polyrock. The general mood reminds me of Philip Glass, which is really weird because it doesn't really sound anything like Glasses' work. There seem to be mood elements from Space Oddity, specifically "Cygnet Committee". Then the video seems to be hearkening back to Elephant Man.

In a sense Black Star seems a subtle retrospective of his musical life.

ETA: This is the Polyrock track to which I refer. Magic, this:
