Trump is easily the most "transparency" encouraging President in recent history. From decades old sexaul assaults against women within our domestic freedoms to historic NFL kneelings against police brutality to old war crimes related to freedom spread operations abroad, everything is being acknowledged by media owners employees, UN owners employees etc.

"For decades, the people of Afghanistan have endured the scourge of armed conflict", and we feel now is the right time to start war crimes investigations. Paraphrasing partially.
Unless this "punitive" action for Trump not "founding fathering" ISIS that he had accused DGP of doing?

PARIS — The chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court requested judicial authorization Friday to begin a formal investigation into possible war crimes committed in Afghanistan, a probe that could implicate American forces.
“For decades, the people of Afghanistan have endured the scourge of armed conflict,” Fatou Bensouda, a Gambian lawyer who has served as the ICC’s chief prosecutor since 2012, said in a statement. Her office is pushing to open an investigation because “there is a reasonable basis to believe that war crimes and crimes against humanity have been committed” in Afghanistan, she said.

Trend so far is not positive and war reporting so far is muddied with conflicting reports including statements like "overall civilian casualties decreased slightly compared to the same period last year, the report said" or being reported this way by design or censorship. Trump lately has displayed a tendency to not take responsibility and blame the generals when things turn bad abroad, he won't be able to get away with this dual credit/blame tactic for long. But if Trump is turning into another puppet of interventionist war lobbies or a DGP SWC like the guy he replaced, he should and would be called out. But that does not exclude calling out hypocrisy of ICC, UN, media .. all of which have been for the large part complicit instruments of interventionist/war mongering lobbies for decades.

Little silverlining here maybe almost all bad outcomes of Trump war (and other) policies will be front page headlines and media will not try to cover up as they did for last DGP's war games... at least that's the assumption I had so far but not very confident overall given many layers of media deceptions.
