The VIP reception had about 40-50 people ($1000+ per person). The dinner ($500+ per person) definitely had over 100 people.

I had the good fortune to catch him at a whistle stop in Florence, SC (it's where my picture with him came from). It ended up being small enough that he shook hands and spoke with everyone there and took pictures with whoever wanted him. It's really amazing, the first thing he did after he finished speaking was make a b-line right to the crowd.

I drove 5 hours from Upstate NY where I was staying during the holidays, to a NH diner on an early Saturday morning last July. The place was packed but most people were there for food, not for the good doctor. We shook hands and took a picture together, then he signed my copy of Liberty Defined and we even had a conversation about the Euro and what the ECB is doing with the US Fed with regards to swap lines.

Even though I'm not a US citizen and he understood I couldn't vote for him, he still took the time to speak with me personally. After that, I spent my day following him in NH to different venues and town-halls. Carol was also super-nice and funny, and I developped the biggest crush on their grand-daughter Lisa who is so gorgeous, extremely bright and well-mannered.

All in all, it was a life-defining experience that I wouldn't exchange for anything and I wish it on all of you who haven't yet had the chance to meet this most honorable family.

Awesome. It's kind of funny because I've never been the 'star struck' type. I've never cared about seeing 'celebrities' or anything, and always scoffed at people who would fall all over themselves to get an autograph or a picture, but he's probably the one person living who could have that effect on me personally.
