Culling the Herd: A strategy suggestion to further our cause

Kuldebar, all I have to say about your suggestion is this: shut the fuck up. I'm an atheist, and I can be a supporter of Ron Paul if I want. It would seem your criteria only allows an exact sort of person to 'be included': protestant, boring, peg-legged, comb-overed simpleton. Sounds like your 'revolution' would include about....23 people. Stop with the middle school exclusionary groupthink. Is this your clubhouse only? I think not.

Sometimes it is a mistake to omit the </sarcasm> tag.

Sheesh.

Yes, I understand this is controversial and painful to some. But so to is circumcision and scab ripping, but such things have to be done for there to be progress.

Please stop being so self centered and selfish by declaring your opinions and beliefs in public, this does nothing to advance the cause of freedom and free speech!

What about that guy that keeps saying that Stalin killed more people than Hitler?

Actually, Kuldebar, Stalin has killed more people then Hitler. May be that can't be substantiated with records, if only because Stalin, unlike Hitler, was ultra hush-hush about everything he did, but Stalin starved to death, purged in labor camps and otherwise killed untold millions of Russians and who knows how many more ethnicities, present in Russia.

And that was before the war, the bloodiest war ever in a history of humanity.

Plus, Hitler killed those whom he considered enemies of German people, Stalin killed those whom he knew were his country men.

So no, Stalin a)killed more people then Hitler, b)was much more wicked and evil then Hitler was.

Akus, I am starting to wonder if maybe we should just start adding the actual names of people to the list.

Please take your whacky ideas somewhere else. Next you will be bringing up Waco or Ruby Ridge into the mix!

You should add Ron Paul to the list. After all, who likes a shameless self promoter?

I would do that, but then I would get bogged down in some meddlesome arguments and logical conundrums. I think the list as it grows will be enough to get us back on track.

I know nothing about Waco other then it was some religious cult shot up by FBI people.

And this is the first time I have ever heard of Ruby Ridge.

My ideas are not whacky, not when you consider what happened and who Stalin was. But hey, you're entitled to your opinion and we are not here to fight, we're here because Ron Paul needs us.

This touches upon a hot issue that seems to cause quite amount of conflict and dismay upon and between Ron Paul Supporters.

So, in the interest of dealing with the problem in a straightforward and practical manner, I propose we evaluate the various types of people who profess to share our cause and start an mini campaign within the campaign in order to distance ourselves from those elements.

What follows is a list, not even nearly complete, but fairly indicative of what we must purge from our rank and file.

Of course, I don't propose putting windows into the soul's of others but, similar to the don't ask don't tell policy, when certain things come to light, that person should no longer be welcome among our ranks.

Criteria of individuals we will have to purge from the Ron Paul Support Base:

-self proclaimed patriots

-Bohemians

-Gypsies

-Geeks

-consumers of pornography

-USS Liberty activists

-Gun enthusiasts

-Pot Smokers (medical/recreational)

-Drug users

-Holocaust revisionists

-Motorcycle gang members

-John Birch society members

-Wiccans

-Pagans

-Hollow-Earthers

-Truthers

-Survivalists

-Criticizers of the State of Israel

-Atlantologists

-Conscientious Objectors

-Income tax protesters

-Abraham Lincoln detractors

-Articles of the Confederation promoters

-High school drop outs

-Jury Nullification advocates

It is important to note that this isn't a judgment or a suggestion of any illegality regarding any particular "group" of people, it's just a simple tool to help us reduce the likelihood that any association by certain types of people can't be used to "smear" Ron Paul's candidacy.

Do we really want punk hair cuts, tattoos, 9/11 Truth signs, scraggly beards, pierced noses and free condoms at Ron Paul rallies?

And that's just the visible stuff!

What happens when a reporter digs deeper and finds out that a Ron Paul supporter downloads porn off the Internet on a regular basis?

Or worse, what if word comes out that a Ron Paul supporter owns and operates a Porn Site?

What about that guy that keeps saying that Stalin killed more people than Hitler?

You see my point? We have to clamp down on this stuff and not allow it to be used against Ron Paul.

After all, if we all want to be free, we must be willing to give up some of our selfish beliefs, goals and ideas in order to secure that freedom. Just think what damage could be done if the press started pointing out what type of people supported Ron Paul!

Comments welcome.

Thank You.

Now now, what you say and type can be used against you in the court of collective popular opinion and probably will be until people start respecting the idea of being free.

:D

I hope this is satire

i'm assuming this is satire. If it is, it's pretty good. I for one am sick of these chicken little types who fret over "What will the media say if RP is associated with sucah and such?"...Fuck the media! They will never give RP a fair deal anyway...

ALL are welcome in the RP movement. The US is like the Titanic and we are all pasengers on it. Libery and honesty are in our mutual interests.....

and by the way....9/11 was indeed an inside job www.911truthvirus.com

You are absolutely right, I hope more people start seeing it the way you do. Caving into fear of being called names in the media needs to stop.

We give bullies power over us by running scared and appeasing them, going along to get along.

We do our opponents work for them when we act like they have a legitimate reason to attack the diversity of people and ideas that Paul is bringing together.
