He was feeling out the crowd reaction in terms of how to present his ideas. Youth in a more regional southern college have a slightly different culture than in some others

Read some article about someone who used to work for him. The guy said that Ron's idea of preparing for a speech is to write three words on the back of an envelope and going up there and talking about it for three hours.
