Lesson learned. It's easy to take down someone who's likeable like Ben Carson with a smear campaign. But when people hate you already (Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, Hillary Clinton), smear campaigns are largely ineffective.

Doesn't it say polling done March 16 - 23 (?) - with results of Trump ahead by 7% in statewide polling over Cruz - MoE 2.8%

Trump might be ahead by even more after these next two months to find Heidi Suzanne Nelson Cruz divorce filings from 2011 or 2012, imo.

At this stage, I'm calling 50/50 split for Cruz/Trump. The fivethrityeight folks are not as trumptimistic was they were a month ago and now give Cruz 65% chance of winning outright.
