Fellow Ron Paul Supporters,

Some time ago I saw a post that mentioned Ron Paul winning Jefferson County in Iowa. A comment in response to the post from one of the supporters there said they used cheap weekly ads in local newspapers to reach the voters. If I'm not mistaken, it was also mentioned that the ads were changed periodically (perhaps weekly), which also obviously had a positive effect. IMO, Meetup organizers (including myself) should launch ChipIns to this end ASAP, especially for the upcoming primary states (including doing all the other related work). For the ads, focus on the issues that the voters in each of our areas are sensitive to, and if we're not sure, at least do a general ad.

I think this can have a significant effect on Ron Paul's name recognition among the "90%" voters, perhaps even effectively bypassing the mainstream media censorship of Ron Paul. I look forward to insightful comments from my brothers and sisters in liberty.

One more thing. If the charges of vote fraud in NH can be proven, then I support a recount. But I believe that the media censorship of RP may negatively effect the voting process even more heavily than voting machines. If I want to steal from people, I'd probably prefer to have them cheat themselves for me than attempt to break into their homes and run the associated risk.

Best Regards,

Louis

Perhaps someone can photoshop an ad targeting democrats to vote for Ron Paul?

I inquired to my local newspaper about their rates and they said:

Sunday
1/2 Page
$1,231.8

Full Page
2,340.5

Wednesday
1/2 Page
$815.7

Full Page
$1,549.8

Friday
1/2 page
$370.5

Full Page
$704.0

Sunday circulation is 42,174, approximately 12,000 paid and the rest get our shopper (ads run in both)
Wednesday is 22,120, approximately 10,000 paid and the rest get our shopper (ads run in both)
Friday is 7200 all paid

It's a relatively small district compared to others and it's not that cheap (although I don't know how much other districts are), so I'm not sure if it would be worth it

brumans,

Perhaps that would be aiming for too big an ad. How about 1/4-pg. or even smaller ads?

they should be utilizing this strategy. hopefully, a lesson can be learned from this and success can be repeated once more.

Ok, this is a draft. I need feedback on the idea and especially my text. I always have spelling errors. It's sized for a 1/4 page newspaper ad. There may not be time to get it out in Michigan but it's worth a try. We can use these in Florida too where Dems. lost the delegates also.

Great ad! Try to get it sticked in this forum by a mod along with PimpBlimp's one in a 'Ron Paul Ads for the Dem Vote' thread

Personally, I think that is a very bad idea. Voters need to be educated on Ron Paul...he shouldn't be compared with Obama. The mailer sent to everyone in MI with a brief overview of his record needs to be translated into a newspaper ad IMO.

this is much much better than pimpblimp original. He is doing a contrast ad, while yours is a similarity ad. Similarity ad will be easier on the eye for Obama supporters, since we are appealing to their vote.

Be careful about misrepresenting what Paul is capable of doing. Instead of "will eliminate the federal income tax," it should read "supports eliminating the federal income tax." Same for the others.

Add 1 word: "Voted against the war Congress, will bring the troops home immediately."

I like this ad for simplicity and urgency:

I also agree it's too complicated to compare to the Democrats. Only Ron Paul is standing for the Constitution and that needs to be the focus. And instill some urgency into it (subtle/oblique reference to vote fraud).

That's the kind of information I need!
Thanks. I'll do that now.

That's good, I like the similarity article. Make sure to change eleminate to eliminate, of course.

I like the Obama comparison ad because it is more concrete; the Constitution ad is good, but too general. Huckabee and all the other phonies are now invoking the Constitution and say they stand for it.

Okay, that's looking good. The only other suggestion I have would be to change

YOUR VOTE CAN COUNT!

to

MICHIGAN DEMOCRATS, YOUR VOTE CAN COUNT!

or

MICHIGAN DEMOCRATS, YOUR VOTE CAN STILL COUNT!

as the first title might be mistaken for something like a more general 'let's get interesting in voting' type campaign.
