I think social expectations have changed dramatically over the years, don't you? Older men with younger women has been accepted by society for ages. The double standard has always been toward older women with younger men. But even that is changing. If you look back at the way women and men used to look when they were 40 + years of age and older from say, your grandparents generation and compare them to the people of the same age today, there's a HUGE difference. People the same age today, don't look as old as they used to back then.

I'd say before 1900, older men with younger women were something to be desired. Most fathers wanted their daughters with much older men as it meant a more comfortable lifestyle. That's certainly changed in the last 100 years as marriage is more emotionally-based rather than socially-based. I think this is why there's a creepiness factor around it.

The thinking now is: Emotionally, this woman's youth should be protected by the predatory older man who only seeks out sexual congress. It's unfair, he's past his prime and sex is the only thing that matters to him!

Men are visual. If a beautiful woman walks into a restaurant, every single man in it will notice. We just can't help it. It doesn't mean we're all lusting over her, but we will all notice.

Yes this is creepy. Pretty damn far into creepy, actually. His minimum threshold for non-creepiness would be a woman aged 41.

As it is, he is old enough not just to be her father, but to be her grandfather.
