CPAC vs. Maine conflict

I would make the argument that every vote counts and you shouldn't take a single day for granted assuming it won't make a difference when you look at the margin between 1st and 2nd in Iowa. It may be different as the caucuses are spread out, but that margin is haunting and heads will roll if he loses by anything close to that.

I agree. He should go tomorrow.

Rest? What the hell is rest? If he has to rest, then could you imagine what being President would be like? President Paul, China is invading. Oh don't wake the President now he has to rest....he can rest on the private jet our money has been funding. He can rest in a Holiday Inn in Maine somewhere. Why is he is TX though? Furthermore, if was to get the nomination, there would no rest until the white house. Better get used to it.

When was the last time a country invaded the U.S.? The likelihood of that happening is about zero. I would be quite satisfied if Ron relaxes 22 hours a day and uses the remaining 2 hours just to veto bills and pardon people convicted of stupid non-crimes.

This could be all be part of the bigger plan to give Rand some air time, who knows. Would be hilarious if Ron won though without even being there, but i doubt the party would allow themselves to let that happen.

Still, makes no sense he said he would be campaigning in ME and why he couldnt be part of CPAC, yet he is is NOT in ME, so that definitely doesn't look good. He should have been in ME on Tuesday, all there is to it (barring any health issues).

I was talking about Maine. I totally skipped over and assumed the OP agreed with me that he would be better off in Maine.

If he needed to "rest," he should have rested on Wednesday, gone to CPAC on Thursday, and then flown from DC to Maine Thursday night and stayed there through Saturday.

Or at least campaigned in Maine Wed-Sat.

Does anyone here even know what the hell they are talking about? Who said he was "resting" or even in TX? Politico says he was on the Situation Room on CNN at 4pm on Thursday.

I like this thread though... I know who to take off the list of people I want in my survival group during the zombie apocalypse.

I think we'll see about a 50/50 split between cpac winner and maine winner in news coverage.

After seeing how the typical GOP voter votes, I assumed we were already in a zombie apocalypse. I hope you are already prepped.

That's just great. Dillute our only win with a conference that Ron will lose that he has won the last 3 or 4 times.

It does suck, but it's a realistic scenario IMO. I don't think they will ignore it if Ron wins and I do think it will be headlines.

Yes, he was on CNN. And he was sitting in his office in Texas.
