He (specifically Taylor Swift's boyfriend) came out a play and his substitute didn't do a good enough job blocking for a teammate, in his opinion, resulting in a fumble. He was respectfully(?) requesting to play every single scrimmage henceforth.

It's a close game. As in, it's over but they can't stop yet close.
