Could it be this simple to Win?

I think that local newspapers should be used more than national television etc. Go for it!

Again,

Someone please contact the National Campaign and get the on the ball about running these ads / newspaper inserts in these "daily" & "weekly" papers.... They have the / "our" money to do this... It is too chaotic for us to all be doing and probably overlapping in many areas leaving out others even though that is what we are setting out to do...

We need to be out canvassing and going door to door or else we are going to have more dismal results in these primaries...

Someone at the HQ needs to organize and get this done. Each state has a "press association" and they can help with getting ads in the papers....

**Again, if anyone has any connections with the HQ or National Campaign, please get them to do this for us so we can concentrate on what we should be doing..... Otherwise this excellent idea is going to be just a clusterfuck........Secondly, there is the money isssue... They already have the money for this....one less step to worry about for us....

Is there a way to email all the South Carolina meet-ups at once? SC is a strong state for Huck they need to get on this yesterday.

IMO, South Carolina may very well be the State to derail McCain if he does well in New Hampshire next week. The people in South Carolina are very patriotic and support the troops 110%, however many will not blindly vote for a war if they understand that the costs of that war is going to ruin their standard of living and cause the nation to go into a major recession and/or a depression.

Saturating local newspapers across the country with advertising is an awesome idea. I can suppot that. Where do I send my money? Do we need one major chipin for all of the States, or do we need chipins for each State? I can smell a Money Bomb coming :o

HQ not needed......

Isn't this what every body has been wringing their hands and gnashing their teeth over since Iowa? Some say we can't seem to get the attention of HQ but in a way....so be it! Isn't HQ the metaphoric Federal Govt? We don't need to pass things through them and we should stop looking for them to pay attention to us.

Lets take things into our own hands and do exatcly what we would be asking them to do. Lets get the attention of our own locals by making sure Ron Paul is in the paper and on our TV's by placing the correct paper ads and correct TV commercials that we know will be heard by our communities.

By taking matters in our own hands:
We do something that enhances the rest of our local efforts
We abolish thinking that HQ is suppose to win this for us
We realize that WE are the campaign, not HQ

Let HQ do what they do and lets get on with gettin on. If they want to join us....they can.

I asked in an earlier post what Jefferson Co did that translated into such a high vote. Here's part of the answer...not all granted...but part! And it is simple and affordable and so swweet!

Concise, informative, effective ads/inserts
Gleaned from the "best of the best" submissions
Available at a central location on this forum
Ready for download/print in our local papers as ads or inserts

Buy local advertising with known readership with local contributions to the cause
Totally grassroots....but with a consistent message and look (tagged locally with meetup info)

This could even morph into local TV ads funded by our own meetup groups. Which would be a great final 10 day blitz but....this is so much easier and quicker for the first couple of weeks!

Now if we can just get a TM Institute in each precenct we'll be on to something.:D

Yessss! Sometimes the answers are so simple we cannot see them. If the Official Campaign needs additional cash then they can request Federal matching funds -- I assume they are entitled to them. I am maxed out but if I were not then I would not donate anymore money to the official campaign -- they blew it as far as I am concerned. I encourage everyone to donate from here on to a Chipin(s) so that "we" can get Ron Paul's message out to the public.

Let's light this candle and win the election!

+100!! This is exactly the strength of this project. Local Meetups who KNOW the local makeup can make BETTER decisions than a NATION campaign who has NO knowledge of the local landscape.

Bottom up guys, this is our strength.

I like that ad make sure it makes it to the repository once it is up.

Hm! I wandered back over to the computer and looked bleary-eyed at the forums once again, and reading this thread was like watching the sun rise.

I'm actually one of those small newspaper owners. I made an ad after the blimp launched and put it in our papers. (Paid for it of course, to be fair, special price available to grass roots ads only hehe). The ad is here:

Ads

Ads should include a website and phone number for people to request free yard signs. This does two things. One provides a list of supporters to help GOTV. Second if a few of your neigbors have RP yard signs it will influence your ideas about voting for him.

good idea.

im spending 100 dollars over the next 4 weeks here in georgia for my local county paper.

ill be doing a diffrent ad each week.

I think we should stop so much calling (some is good, but maybe we had too much in Iowa) and start funding newspaper ads and maybe billboards too.

This is fantastic. How do we get this going - can anyone set up a website and a chip in account?

Get it to your grassroots meetup organizer. This is purely a local endeavor. If you can spread the cost amongst your meetup group participants.

I have some $ to spend on some SMALL news papers. If you have a list of them in your area please PM me.

Can someone with some graphic design experience create a "8.5 X 11" (front and back) pdf format that we can use as our official brochure/advertisement that we can use for newspaper inserts.... This way we have the exact same message going out to all of the papers across the country.....

Newspaper inserts are going to be by far the easiest and most effective way for us to do this and get it distributed.....Otherwise we are going to be spending big bucks on traditional ads that people may or may not see... These newspaper inserts are two sided and are color & high gloss..... Very professional like a brochure... That is a lot of advertisement for the price... Two sides of colored material/info ......

Again, we need ONLY ONE uniformed advertisement that we can all use... This will eliminate so much wasted time.....

Right now we have organized chaos.... We need to get this going in an effective manner.... I would recommend that whomever creates "our ad", should upload it to ads4paul.com and/or in the campain marketing forum so that we can get this out, printed, etc...

Secondly, we need to concentrate on only the states with upcoming primaries including those for Super Tuesday.....

Thirdly, we need to have a representative for each of these states to head up this project.... One person per state can handle this for the entire state... All you have to do is get the list of papers from your states press association.... It will contain the names, contact info, circulation counts, etc.... I suggest we do these only for the "weekly" papers and let the national campaign worry about the daily papers.... (weekly papers are usually only printed once or twice a week) Something each of our states coordinators can get in touch with the campaign to handle.

Most importantly.. we need the money to do this. Having just one "insert" we can have printed in bulk to cut the cost... Our total cost per insert : printed, delivered to the papers, and inserted should be around .06 - .09 cents each will vary depending on the papers charge for inserting....

Should we have some sort of "chipin" for each state, or some sort of money bomb for this project only, like the blimp........ I think the latter is the best solution....If this is the case, we could be up and running by next week with ads ready to go out in the papers.....

for info on newspaper inserts, visit www.teradel.com

email me at lakeguntersville @ gmail.com for more info.... we have got to get this going or else we are just wasting time....again, right now all we have is organized chaos....

Please email me or post your thoughts or better ideas on getting this project launched.
