Coronavirus vs. the Mass Surveillance State: Which Poses the Greater Threat?

Worst plague in history killed what, 100-200 million people?

Surveillance state has killed that many in the past 70 years.

If you have anything to lose: the state. If you are impoverished: the plague.
Relative threat.

The authorities keep telling us they are pointless. But we must save them for healthcare professionals.

I’ll side with the healthcare professionals that are demanding face masks.

They are telling us they are useless because the stores ran out and they are manufactured in China. Also, should people start looking into just HOW costco ran out, and when, and who bought them. Well, that might lead to inconvenient questions.

The masks definitely work. There were no masks to sell. To head off unrest over this obvious and simple prophylactic the propaganda goes out, "Don't buy masks, they don't help." Better than, hey some ______ nationals bought all the masks and since we betrayed the nation by outsourcing--WE CANT GET ANY MORE.

So, its easier to merely convince us plebs that the masks dont work.

Yep, that’s about it. Lie to the people so they don’t know who to blame.

Not sure if this is the appropriate place to post this but I think it has some interesting information, I learned a great deal. Please feel free to move it and I am sorry if it's one that has already been shared.

I remember watching a Sixty Minute or 20/20 episode a few decades ago where a virologist or epidemiologist with the CDC was talking about the Spanish Flu pandemic and how it spread in 1917. He said that in his opinion, that the only sure way to avoid becoming a victim in the next pandemic, which he also said was due anytime, was to have a cabin somewhere in the woods which is stocked. This was all based on historical records and scientific facts.

He said that he had secured a place deep in the mountains which he has stocked full of supplies to see he and his wife through for a few months. He planned on telling his wife as soon as he knew it was happening to head there without delay, telling no one anything. He hoped that he would be able to join her, but said there was a possibility that he might not be ble to before he himself was exposed. Anyway, I don't think he is with us as he was in his sixties and that was at least twenty or thirty years ago. Hope he and his wife are in that cabin now though.

I've been thinking that one of the responses that will come out of this is a fully mandatory register (even though they basically have these already) that tallies the last x amount of places all people have traveled to and in "situations" like these, police will show up to your door to isolate you via quarantine for "everyone's community benefit."

Scary to think, but remember, in every crisis we all emerge a little less free. They take it piece by piece in times when fear is rampant. We're getting to the end of the rope now though, where there isn't much left to take.
