Did you notice the VERY second line in the first story they start with him being a criminal? So now the media is playing the game of turn the guy who was murdered into a criminal before the story is even told...

Even if the guy swung a bag with a beer can in it, is that really enough justification to kill him?

Shooting someone for swinging a bag at your partner? Get the fuck outta here, I'm not 6 years old.

two 24 oz cans. Thats 3 lbs of weight. Being swung at the end of a bag. By a rather large man. That can fracture a skull pretty easily, possibly kill. If the cop version is true, he wasn't exactly hitting them with a pillow.

Well , if they were my beers , they would be nearly empty and harmless . That is why I just open carry my beer .
