Anyone remember after 9/11 when thousands and thousands of people volunteered to give blood? The red cross was in seventh heaven! - then the FDA (might have been a different agency) stepped in and said only licensed phlebotomists could collect blood. Consequently, many donations were lost as there were not many licensed phlebotomists available.

It is bad enough that the state feels it has the authority to invade the body with a warrant... but to allow it without one is fucking unconscionable. Faced with the choice of submitting to a state needle, depending on the day, I might have much bigger problems than a potential DUI. Id like to think Id do the smart thing, but I dont always do so.

Beyond F-ing belief, isn't it? Can you imagine - say it was 1980 and you heard about this kind of stuff happening in the USSR. The media would be horrified with disbelief. And here we are in the US apparently accepting this kind of thing as well as an Orwellian survailience (spelling) society where you have to show your papers - just like East Germany behind the wall. Just beyond belief. It's crap like this that makes me want this country to collapse.

If you've smoked weed for intellectual, artistic, or relaxation purposes in the last 30 days, prepare to be thrown in jail for DUI (even if you haven't actually been high for say, 28 days) AND for being a drug user. Get ready to prove that you have prescriptions for that high-blood pressure meds they found in your blood, and prepare for your insurance rates to skyrocket when the insurance companies find that you're a carrier of a gene that gives you a higher chance of developing ANY condition. Also, hope that your blood doesn't indicate a genetic predisposition toward thought-crime.
