Fair enough but the cop said that the kid was trying to walk away (with his puppy) and because of that he created an immediate threat to the safety of the police and so they had to get violent with him, to protect their safety.

While the kid and family might be lying, there is no doubt the cop lied.

As a former peace officer, you don't EVER, EVER, choke hold someone like that! In the worst situation, you can put them in the sleeper by constricting their carotid artery until they lose consciousness, but you never, ever constrict their airway.

How could a 14 year old stare at you wrong? Did he have his hand in his pocket in what appeared to be a weapon? Maybe the kid just doesn't like cops?

Wasn't it traditional to return "Dehumanizing Stares" with your own, "Dehumanizing Stares"?

And hey if the person happened to be short, tall, fat, skinny, light, dark, yellow or anything else they might be a little self conscious of, you'd throw that into the mix. We had class back then. Wasn't necessarily upper class but you usually ended up making up and being life long friends.

IIRC, it was a scrawny girl in a jail cell who got slammed. It was a girl who got tased then fell backwards and busted open her skull. Then there was a girl who recently got pushed down a flight of stairs. An elderly woman shot in the face for driving away. All for non-compliance. It's not like there's any semblance of chivalry.

She had the temerity to live in a lower classed side of town. If she didn't want to be killed then she should have moved. It's as simple as that. If you don't like it then just move. Im not saying this 14 year old isnt a piece of shit waste of life, but even Criminals deserve to have their Sentence decieded by way of Due Process of Law, not an arbitrary emotional decision imposed by a Cop. To lead by example, the Leaders must protect everyones Rights equally. Otherwise it truly does become a "Just-Us" System in the Courts. There is the exact reason why "no policies have been violated". So now Policies Trump Rights?
