It had nothing to do with disagreement. The guy was just here to make trouble. Think about it. Read his posts
He claimed to support RP, but had a very different view of the Bill of Rights.
He claimed to be a cop, while acting like the worst sort.
The guy was giving good cops a bad name with his arrogance. I stayed with a cop at our OLFD house, the guy would have been mortified to see this poser talking for him.
Bottom line is we have enough of a problem with real badcops that we don't need a loser like that giving the good ones a bad name.
If he was interested in discussion he would have responded to my posts to him. He was just interested in fanning flames.
IOW - he was a lying POS
Hmm odd video, obviously we are not seeing the whole story. Why would the officer let all the other bicyclers ride past, but then when this one bicycler starts coming, the officer quickly runs to him and knocks him off the bike?
Was that bicycler a known fugitive? Was he stopped by police earlier, and tried running from the police on his bicycle by trying to blend into the crowd?
The title of this thread is also misleading, the officer has not lost his badge yet, he's on desk duty until the investigation is over.
all good tips and I suggest everyone reads that.
If I feel safer, you're going to be safer. If you are acting suspicious and I feel my life is danger, my finger is going to be closer to the trigger.
If I come up to a car during a traffic stop, no lights are on in the vehicle, the driver is slumping down and and quickly reaching for something underneath the seat, you can understand I would be a bit on edge.
likewise if someone has the dome light on and his hands on the wheel where i can see them, and greets me with a friendly voice, i'm going to be much more at ease.
that's the problem with all these incidents, people just act stupid around police and expect things to go OK for them, forgetting that the police are armed and have authority to kill you if they feel you are a danger.
like in the other thread about the kid getting tased... did he think everything was going to go OK for him when he told the police he was going to kill them? jesus christ...

Again, the guy is not a cop, he just plays one on the Internet.
Good post.
but I disagree on the last part. No, angelatc fits a stereotype I see all the time. The type of person that calls police and expects them to be there every time they see something even remotely suspicious, but at the same time publicly bashes police and says they hate police... So typical.
There's a very liberal woman around here that is an activist and is known to be very, very anti-police. One day she needed dire help and called the police, she saw someone breaking into her car. They helped her, arrested the man. Right afterwords, she thanked them and was so grateful and was telling the officers how great they were.
The next day, what does she do? Goes back to bashing police on the evening news.
Rofl...
Moving towards a police state? No, sorry tin-foil-hat brigade, we are moving farther and farther from it.
I'm glad I don't have to hear lies like this anymore.

There are not your brothers, partners or friends.
I love it when someone who knows what they are talking about shows up at RPF.
And I hate it when RPF sticks its fingers in its ears and says "Nah nah nah! I'm not listening!"
Anyway... welcome to the forums, Cop!
