Things are looking good, Ms. Doodahs! My garden is looking wonderful also. I may have to get some pics this weekend. Gardening is great satisfaction, second only to eating what you have grown.

I just had some bad luck with 30 mph winds and my corn. Appearently my soil was too loose and about 20 of my corn plants took a dive. I just spent a good amount of time staking them up and will be tossing and packing some more dirt on their feet this weekend

Everything else in my garden is doing great.

Question Ms D?
How do you keep the fruit from pulling from the vines? Won't the squash pull the pots over after they reach a certain size and/or fall over the side. I really want to do exactly the set up you have.

I've never grown squash in the containers before, so this is a learning season. Right now, the yellow crookneck is doing more "vining" and already starting down over the side of the containter, while the zuch is pretty much just bushy so far.

I've grown eggplants in the containers in the past - other than needing some support once the fruit starts getting larger, they do fine. I have a tomato cage to attach to that container, but I have not put it on yet.

Trellis netting might help keep them off the deck.

You might want to consider using garden trellis netting and tying the vines up on the netting.

my first bell peppers are about ready to pick, and tomato vines growing impressively.
Onion and garlic already being harvested and eaten!

I'm a little disenchanted with my garden as blight has killed most of everything, and is slowly killing most of the surviving plants.

I'm also contending with caterpillars.

But I'm planting in the ground, and also FYI, in the Caribbean, planting season starts in September. the summer months are too hot and too wet for most plants and they succumb to rot and fungus and die back and blight.

My tropicals are doing the best and some disease resistant varieties are doing okay.

Peppers seem to be thriving the best.

It was a very wet early spring, struggling a bit.
Okra looks pretty good, collard greens coming along nicely, squash looks good, tomato plants coming along OK, pepper plants lagging a bit, broccoli was a side project and I don't expect much this time, same with lettuce and brussell sprouts.
My 1 year and 1 month old tobasco is absolutely full of peppers. I'll bring in the other varieties this fall as well.
