An amazing floor fight in the Texas House yesterday over the issue of Constitutional Carry put forth by State Rep (and RPF member) Jonathan Stickland.

They wouldn't let his Constitutional Carry bill come to the floor for a vote, so he tried to offer an amendment to the Licensed Open Carry bill to allow Constitutional Carry. However the Republican leadership would not allow him to submit his amendment because they ruled it "not germane" even though they allowed an amendment about knives onto the bill.

Yep, i watched the debate on the open carry bill yesterday. The leadership is clearly afraid of the Constitutional Carry movement. They don't want to have their henchmen crushed in the next primary by having a record vote where the RINO's are exposed. 100,000 + Texans have bothered to sign petitions in support of Constitutional Carry, and Chairman Phillips and Speaker Joe Straus won't even give it a committee hearing.

Didn't it pass? FOX was reporting yesterday that it passed and the Governor was expected to sign it into law.

They passed a version of open carry for license holders. When the Governor signs it, if one has a government permit, they are able to carry their weapon without concealing it.

Pretty sneaky, those sneaky sneakers.

A parliamentarian is able to used as an excuse to not hear, in public, debate on an admendment...sneaky illegitimate cowards!

Little tyrannies, all over the place, in every corner, to thwart liberty and freedom.
