Constitution Party Lacks Sufficient Money to Petition in Arizona, Connecticut, and New Hampshire
July 15th, 2008
The Constitution Party has decided that it cannot afford to get on the ballot for president this year in Arizona, Connecticut, and New Hampshire. Maine is in doubt. However, the party still hopes to be on the ballot in 41 states. The other states that party doesn’t expect to be on are: Georgia, Indiana, North Carolina, Oklahoma, and Texas.

I’d be very surprised if they got on the New York State ballot. No matter what they may be saying, the State party that was affiliated with them in 2004 is no longer affiliated with them, and they haven’t done anything to grow the new affiliate that took its place. It’s a virtual non-entity in the state.

The Constitution Party started petitioning last year in West Virginia. Although they aren’t done yet, they have more signatures than the Libertarian Party, the only other party that is petitioning. Nader is ahead of both, however. Greens are on automatically.
