Consolation Prize we beat Mr. Mayor/Mardi Gras in District 1

Ed Muniz, who was standing at the Pontchartrain center shaking hands looking all confident. Standing right after the Paul table thought he could win.

9 of our no name delegates had more votes than him, before provisionals. I don't think he'll ever be a Paul supporter now. I can only imagine we have hurt his ego.

Ed Muniz has been in charge of one of the most prestigious Mardi Gras parades for a long time (Endymion), and just recently became the mayor of Kenner. I am very surprised his name recognition did not get him in.

he lives down the street from. He is kind of a jerk. The reason he got elected is that nobody really liked the other guy. He has a very abrasive attitude.

We had some names running here too that did OK but some no names got ahead of them too. I love irony.
