Much of it is similar to other articles, but I liked this at the end:
Congressman Paul inspired thousands of young libertarians and in the process amassed a legion of young web-savvy supporters for his 2008 and 2012 presidential campaigns. It's little wonder that he has turned to the internet to spread his message and to promote his ideas through a stellar faculty-staff that includes author Tom Woods.
“For people who have been wondering what Ron Paul has been up to since retiring from Congress, then here’s your answers,” Woods said to FOX in announcing the start of the program. “This, I am convinced, will prove to be Ron Paul’s most significant contribution to the cause of liberty.”
Never ones to shy away from a showdown with Big Government, FOX News also reports that the Paul team is dismissing the program’s present lack of government accreditation and textbooks, which they say are “screened by committees.”
North calls such accreditation “an illegitimate infringement on the right of parents to educate their children.” And another North essay on the school website is titled: “Accreditation: Should We Crawl on Our Bellies to the State?”
Like virtually everything Ron Paul does, the RonPaulCirriculum.com is a testament to Paul’s commitment to liberty and constitutional principles. However, there’s a twist to it that, in our eyes, makes it much more potent than other “great books” courses or classics-based school curriculums.
According to Tom Woods, the New York Times best-selling author and Ludwig von Mises Institute senior fellow who will be among the instructors for the high school curriculum, the program doesn't only "teach from a different point of view," or "teach material that no other school or curriculum offers," the curriculum "also emphasizes oral and written communication, so that students will be able to spread and defend their ideas effectively."
The very thought of thousands of young people, armed with the intellectual ammunition of studying the primary documents of the Austrian School economists, the Constitution, the history of western civilization and who have been taught how to defend and communicate their ideas effectively must already be causing the left to lie awake at night.
