Thanks for stopping by and for the kind words.
Here are the main things that appealed to me when I first started learning about Ron Paul.
1) He has been saying the same thing for as long as he has been in politics.
2) He refuses all money from lobbyists and special interest groups.
3) He does not avoid questions and change his views when talking to different crowds.
4) He addresses the falling dollar, the fiat monetary policy, social security and government spending.
5) He not only wants to reduce taxes but he wants to eliminate the IRS and he has voted this way for 30 years.
6) He wants the free market to dictate medicine practices, prices, technology, etc.
Romney on the same issues
1) Has done a complete 180 on quite a few major issues.
2) Romney accepts more special interest and lobbyist money than any other GOP candidate.
3) He rarely ever answers a question without asking a question or skewing it so many different ways a concrete answer is never made.
4) Romney doesn't addess any of these. He mentions fixing social security but only by giving his resume. He doesn't actually address anything.
5) He says he wants to reduce taxes but wont promise. He says he wants less taxes but as governor he raised them.
6) Romney wants to force medical insurance on every individual without addressing the fast raising costs in the medical industry.
Romney is right there with Hillary Clinton in my views. I would vote for any other candidate in any other party before I would vote for Romney with the only exception being Clinton.
I do appreciate you coming on here and trying to strike up conversation but I will never understand how anyone can look at Romney's voting record while listening to him in debates and still want to support the guy. Just the other day I joked that if Romney or Clinton get elected that I would start up a lobbyist store and franchise them because the only way anyone would get ahead in business or politics would be with a lobbyist.
