I am a rapid Ron Paul supporter, the campaign feels like a major part of my life. What is worse is that I am constantly surrounding myself with like-minded people who only supply me with more energy!
But I must confess, today I got a little depressed about the campaign. I read most of the Iowa news thread and feel disheartened. My immediate reaction was, "why are the people in Iowa so stupid" but I realize that is NOT the problem. RP supporters in Iowa have a BIG BURDEN being the first primary. From what I've learned it appears that Iowa is where THE BIG MONEY in the primaries is spent so as to have a powerful effect on the rest of the campaign. I mean Tommy Tom Thompson (Think Orwellian verichip biometric RFID National ID card)will PAY your $35.00 bus ticket to Ames to vote for him! Ron Paul's campaign can't even afford the postage stamps and the staff to lick them! So I admit I am a little depressed about this.
I have some ideas and would love to hear other's
Paulunteers in Iowa need to offer as much TIME and ENERGY that they can possibly afford
Every major public event should be used to promote RP.
Every legal public place should include Ron Paul signs ect.
Targeting the delegates and registered Republicans who actually VOTE.
Customizing Ron Paul to suit various group interests and concerns.
Such as businesses (and their clientel)...
Health Food Stores, RP has introduced legislation which would allows dietary supplements to have statements which have been verified scientifically but NOT been approved by the FDA.
I have already prepared a flyer specifically for this group. I am going to try it out, if it works I'll let you know!
Everyone of us has gifts and abilities which can DAILY be applied to the RP's campaign. If we sacrificed and hour of forum time to work the campaign it would make a BIG difference.
Just my thoughts...
